In a complicated world, we can all learn a few things from Forrest Gump! I feel privileged to have watched this film and it made me realise where I have been going wrong in life! There comes a time in a man's life when he needs to take stock of what he has achieved, loved, lost and really focused on what is important in life.

The story of Forrest really puts life into perspective and in this overly, noisy complicated world; we can all take a leaf out of this amazing film. Hanks, who superbly plays Gump, leaves amazing clues on how to be successful in life, even for those of us who are fortunate enough to have an IQ above 75 - Learn to love everyone unconditionally, focus on what you are good at and focus on one aspect of success at a time, i.e. if you are good at running, give all your energy to running and becoming the best in that particular field.

Don't be a dork like me and neglect this film like I have for several years... no matter how down you are at this moment or even if life is treating you well, I believe that Gump will make you see life from a different angle all together. Peace, love and happiness for 2015.

Just about everybody knows this film. And they should, because its one of those that always pops into your mind now and again.

Tom Hanks plays Forrest to perfection, being very fitting for the character. This film is genuinely funny as well as the story being told really well, with a bit of everything in it. It pulls on your heart strings in a variety of ways. Gump himself made an impact on lots of people, he is inspiring and shows how people with slight disadvantages can always find a place in our hearts.

A really good film, I recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh and a moving story.

Tom Hanks performs wonders in this film. As a simple minded fellow from the deep south, USA who is called up for military service. His growing up years were spent wearing leg irons to support his very weak legs. He is constantly bullied and his only real friend is a girl called Jenny. The exploits that Forrest gets into are hilarious. When he is demobbed, he gets to meet the President and starts an enterprise as a shrimp boat captain. The tender hearted viewer will often shed tears of both joy and sadness during this quite fantastic film. 5***** and Highly recommended.

Fantastic story - but a long one.
Had this on VHS so thought id buy it on DVD.
The storyline touches you on every level - at times its weepy, others your sitting on the edge of your seat willing him to get away.
the ups and downs of Forrest Gump will have you entralled at the twist and turn as his life unfolds.
A good flim for those sunday afternoons or when your not doing anything.

Wanted my daughter to watch this film as I talk about Forest Gump all the time as one of my favourite films of all time. It's funny, lighthearted, sad at times and has a captivating story. Tom Hanks is brilliant as Forest and makes the story totally believable. My teenage daughter loved it. She said she would tell her friends about it.

Great movie, my partner had never seen it and I only had a VHS copy, so got it on DVD last night and watched it after several years for maybe the fifth time. I'd forgotten how much of a truly great movie this is. I found myself comparing Forrest and Jennie to real life, getting exasperated at the way she treats him and still never feeling entirely sure about her motives, then she's quite open with him and I had to keep reminding myself the characters are not real! Still don't know how they worked Forrest into the footage with the Presidents, John Lennon etc, some of the gags are laugh out loud funny and even non humans will have a lump in their throat at the end, but the great thing is, though it's often sad, many of the closest people to Gump die, like his friends Bubba and Jennie as well as his mother and Dan loses his legs, this still manages to be a feel good movie with a positive upbeat tone at the end. Highly recommended.

Forrest gump arguably one of the greatest movies of all time, so this alone I gave it 5 stars. Also in terms of the picture quality, film looks like it was only made yesterday! Stunning re-mastering of the film with great audio aswell. Honestly cant have any negatives with Gump on Blu-ray. Certainly recommend!

This was one of my favourite films when it was first released and still is today. It's been a while since I last watched it but it's still as emotional as ever. This was clear to see when my 13 year old niece watched it for the first time the other day and sobbed her heart out. Tom Hanks is an absolute legend.

One of my favourite coming of age movies, how an innocent boy/man can blunder his way through life helping so many people on the way and lifting their lives, by seeing life with a different pair of eyes, a most touching film all round with spectacular visual effects.
