An Intriguing Book

A book which is intriguing and at times very moving. The details of the visions are splendid and there is an authenticity that is captivating. Unfortunately, this is a very tradional view point - much of the book reinforces the legends that surround Mary and her life and which have no sound basis. If we take the Bible (although Mary also 'appears' in the Koran etc), it actually gives us very little info about Mary and her life or her family. One curious aspect that really stands out - Mary is described as having 'red gold hair'. This is very unlikely - although not impossible. Such touches cast doubt over the visions which have inspired the book. But then again - how do we know? ....
