I am not a vegetarian but want to cook more vegetarian meals for health and environmental reasons. I have cooked a couple of dishes from this book which have worked well and encouraged me to try new ingredients such as miso paste. When I ordered I didn't realise that the book was American so all the measurements are American (eg cups) and the terminology is also American (eg eggplant). Maybe not such a big deal but I usually work in metric so I need to translate. Also I found that although the title of the book is 'one-dish' some of the meals do dirty more than one pan (eg frying pan and saucepan). So, overall I'm sure I'll continue to use the book but I don't know if I would have rushed to buy it if I'd realised these things.
