5.0 out of 5 stars Masterclass
Now here is a treasure worth having !
Procol Harum with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra,
recorded live in concert in November 1971.
Released here in a remastered and expanded edition.

I saw them only once, at the Albert Hall supporting
Jethro Tull in October 1970 but their music had been
around in my life for some 3 or so years before...

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, but
These re-releases are of excellent quality. However, they could have been released as single disk with two albums and an occasional bonus track thereby taking up less space and probably costing less.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Live Album, 11 Mar. 2013

For me, this is the best live album I know of. When 'Conquistador' was released in '72 I found it hard to believe it was live, it was that good. The rest of the album stands up well and the bonus tracks are good though I was slightly disappointed with the lack of orchestration on 'Shine on Brightly'. Still a great album though and after more than 40 years, it's Shining brightly!

Can't think why it has taken me 42 years to listen to this. The orchestra and chorus add hugely to Salty Dog, Whaling Stories and the extended In Held Twas I. Drummer BJ Wilson the undoubted star.
