The large is a good fit for my size 9s. My dad also got a large for his 10s, because we thought that xl might be too big. That was also fine.

These work well.

14th Dec update - just wanted to add a little to this review, as I have now had the chance to do a little more research into shoe trees, and have also had the chance to try out another type.

When these were out of stock I bought some on eBay with a different design. It seems like you can get shoe trees in split toe or solid block design.

The ones on eBay were much cheaper. £13.50 I think. And are good value. That included shipping, so are virtually half the price of these, when you factor in shipping as well. They were the solid block design, which are aimed at specific shoe sizes, rather than size ranges as with these. They are also cedar, and the quality was fine. However, I just wanted to point out that it seems like the heel fit is different between solid block shoe trees, and split toe ones (like these). The solida block ones were a great fit for some shoes with wider heels, but for my Barkers they would have been awful, because Barkers seem to have a narrower heel, and the solid block style would have stretched them, rather then just keep them in place. For my dad, who has a wider fit, the solid block ones (got him some more as well) has been great.

So, give some mind to the shoes these are going in before you decide on a style of shoe tree. The solid block ones are great for shoes with naturally wider heels, but for some narrower dress shoes, these split toe ones are a better option. In both cases, the front part of the shoe tree was a good fit.

Great price for an amazing product. Stretches and shapes the shoes greatly, I wish I had bought the tree when I bought my shoes. The cedar smell, is simply amazing (and addictive). And for the price, I would definately buy again. XL worked like a charm for my 11 & 1/2 shoes.

Good quality shoe trees are crucial to preserve your good quality shoes and they don't come cheap. These ones from Jermyn Street / mail order set up Charles Tyrwhitt are well made and a good price and fit my size 9 (43) shoes - also from Charles Tyrwhitt actually - very well. Highly recommended. You can pay £50 for a pair of shoe trees - these ones a good balance between quality and price.

Really happy with the quality and cost of these shoe trees. It seems to be a bit of a minefield when buying this product as there are so many different sellers and the price range is huge. Glad I went with these as they fit beautifully and give of a pleasant odour. Will be ordering some more soon.

Top quality shoe trees. Terrific value too. Buy them before they go back up in price! Note that they are not polished/varnished as this would negate the benefit of them being made out of cedar wood. I have several pairs as they are very well made and I use them in all my good shoes. Very prompt and efficient delivery too.

I purchased these to help keep my shoes in good shape, I am very impressed with the quality and they stretch the shoes as well which means no more sores on my feet due to the leather being stiff! 10/10 do what they say on the tin and cannot complain.

Good quality shoe tree for the price I paid (19.99). Cedar wood is great at getting rid of any odours that the shoe may have after a long day.

There is no way on this earth that these would retail at £60....they are quite poorly made, rough edges and so on...they might at a push sell for £15-20£ so at the price offered they are about correct....I have a pair of shoe trees sold to me by Russell and Bromley for £30 and they are vastly superior to these..having said this I am pleased with the purchase as they do what they are supposed to do but £60 originally ...please..we are not all on hallucinogenic drugs !!!!

Fit my size 10 Barker Anniversary editions perfectly - helps maintain shape and absorbs any excess moisture from my sweaty feet

My shoes are 41 euro, 7.5 UK - the Medium fits - only just.

I bought two pairs - and one of the shoe-trees was broken in that the spring did not move freely.
I called in to the shop near St Paul's and they exchanged it on the spot - thank you Charles T.

Will buy more. They are heavy - so not for travel.
