Incredible TV,
By
This review is from: Samsung UE32B6000 32-inch Widescreen LED TV Full HD 1080P Ultra Slim with Freeview (Electronics)
This is a stunning TV. Image quality is fantastic in standard def, but with a 1080p HD input it just becomes a completely different animal. The 100Hz motion plus makes the picture so incredibly smooth, and with ultra contrast there is unparalelled depth in the images. On top of all of these, it is less than 3cm deep! Looks just as good off as it does on.
Because it uses LED technology it uses much less energy than its LCD / Plasma counterparts so can save you more money in the long run (there is even a neat power-meter feature that shows you how much energy you are using!). The sound quality isn't great but if you are buying a TV like this, you will need a surround sound system for the ultimate viewing experience! Only other thing I can fault it on is the HDMI / VGA connection ports at the back. Due to the amazingly slim design, I had to buy new slimmer cables to connect my PS3 / computer - the plastic casing on the cables being too bulky to allow them to fit into their slots!! Also, the backlight will dim automatically when very dark images appear (I think this is an energy saving feature) which doesnt really put me off but some people may find it annoying. This is definately one of the best 32" TVs on the market and although it is more expensive, its definately worth the extra in my opinion.

Awesome telly!,

Awesome telly! Picture is great, sound (which everyone seems to slate) really isn't too bad - we don't notice (and considering how thin this telly is, it is impressive)! And anyone serious will be able to plug this into an external amp & speakers. Works great with my MacBook Pro using a VGA connector (there is a direct VGA input on the back), and the image and DVDs look great. Also plugged in my now aging PC running XP, which looked great once I had updated the display settings. Watched a BBC HD program using the MacBook, and I think the only thing that let it down was the VGA lead as the picture wasn't quite HD some of the time (I don't think it could carry the image quick enough - looking forward to getting the HDMI cable sorted!). The digital TV tuner works very well. The default set up is to have channels 1 to 5 as analogue, and thereafter Freeview. Although I'm not sure why anyone would watch the analogue when the Freeview is such good quality. Watched a DVD through my PS2 (yep, we're kind of behind the times!) using the component input (for which there is a special adaptor channeling all the components through a special 3.5 mm jack) and it was fine, although the PS2 looks soo grainy and dated compared to the MacBook Pro. You may have read in some places that there is some ghosting on sharp black lines on a light background (I think someone mentioned early Family Guy in particular), we noticed this on the title sequence to Arrested Development, but I can't believe it isn't just a feature of the telly trying to "scale up" old DVDs to HD. Another downside is that there is no headphone out! There is an optical out, but this requires you to have a pretty swanky external amp etc. No good for our Bose Sounddock 2! This was nearly a deal-breaker, until we realised that all our DVD watching etc is done through bits of kit which have their own headphone out, so there was no real issue with this in the end. And you don't exactly need great big booming sound when watching Eastenders!
We are very very happy with this telly, it looks so far ahead of anything else out there at the moment. The TV looks like a very expensive bit of kit (which it is) with its lovely glass surround and glass stand. A very nice bit of kit, and you won't be disappointed. I'm so impressed that I wish to buy a smaller version (maybe without the LED) to use as an external display for my MacBook. And one last thing - has anyone seen a Nokia charger lying around? I have lost mine. Bah.

Samsung LED UE32B6000,

This review is from: Samsung UE32B6000 32-inch Widescreen LED TV Full HD 1080P Ultra Slim with Freeview (Electronics)
thought i would write a few comments about this product seems tho it was the reviews from other buyers which made my mind up for me to buy this. I would recommend this tv to any body the picture quality is amazin and the sound quality isnt too bad either although if ur one for watchin movies all the time i would suggest a surround sound system. To see the tv's quality at its best i would recommend u rig it up to a blu-ray player as i have seen the quality is outstanding. Only thing i would of liked to of seen in the tv's menus is a option that just says " at its best" as there is quiete a few options to choose from regarding the performance of the tele but thats me just bein fussy if ur thinking about buyin this then i would definetly suggest u do get it and the price isnt too bad either and the delivery of the item from amazon was spot on too all in all its a good buy.

Great TV,

I decided to buy this as I needed a TV for my bedroom
I couldn't be happier with it so far With it's ultra slim dimensions & gloss finish, this is asthetically pleasing before even switching it on. The Picture quality is excellent, DTV images through an arial are nice and sharp and with good clarity of colours and so far haven't come across and image blur or issues with blacks. As I'm sure is mentioned in other reviews, the set auto dims to make blacks seem "blacker" which some people could find an annoyance but it isn't something that is yet to bother me. As it's not my main TV, there's never the need to crank up the volume, so can't give a review of the sound but the speakers are adequate at lower volumes The remote control has an unusual design incorporating an unecessary hook type curve at the bottom. However, a major plus going for the remote is the backlit buttons when a button is pressed. Ideal when watching TV in bed at night All in all the is a great TV for the price it is on offer. Yes you can get an LCD equivilent for cheaper but I'd definately choose the LED over it any time

Best CRT replacement flat screen,
By
This review is from: Samsung UE32B6000 32-inch Widescreen LED TV Full HD 1080P Ultra Slim with Freeview (Electronics)
We bought this in Feb 2010 at considerable cost from Amazon (although significantly cheaper than John Lewis and others). As with all of these things, it's now a lot cheaper for the newer model.
However, what a great TV. Delivery was prompt although was slightly disappointed that it arrived in the manufacturer's box as opposed to covered up. Set-up is a cinch so got up and running very quickly. Prior to this, we had a 28" Panasonic Digital CRT TV. This had a super clear picture and was only about 4 years old. It was the last in a line of CRTs - decades of development to perfect. What worried me about spending so much on an LED was that it is (in the grand scheme of TV technology), in it's infancy. We spent a lot of time looking and opted for the Samsung LED owing to its futuristic looks and super thin design. Also, the picture was utterly superior to any flat screen on the market at the time. At 32", it's on the 'small' side of LEDs but let's face it, if you live in a standard sized house (not a footballer style crib) and don't want it to dominate your living room then this is a perfect size. The screen is very clear - I've noticed no motion blur and can say that this (for me) was the only acceptable flat screen to replace our main TV (the Panasonic CRT). It's actually noticeably different from a very good CRT and in a different league from LCDs. Was it value for money? Well, at the time it was. Since I think 3D TV wont ever take off (holographic maybe but £d with glasses, nah!) then I think this is a great TV and wouldn't hesitate to swap our smaller flat screen TVs for new smaller Samsung LEDs.

I would recommend this TV to anyone who is looking to buy an LED TV, even in standard definition it is simply astonishing; in HD it really comes alive, the picture quality is fantastic, my son asked if we were watching in 3D. The picture quality really is that good; use a blu-ray player and see just how outstanding it can be, ...the film Avatar (in blu-ray) is a good example, you'll soon see what I mean, you will not be disappointed.
I noticed one or two earlier comments about picture ghosting in SD; I downloaded the latest software from Samsung and have had no problems with picture quality at all. The latest software can be downloaded onto a computer and then to a memory stick. Insert the memory stick into the TV and follow the on-screen instructions as they flash-up. It is as simple as that. The good news is people without a computer only need a memory stick and someone with a computer to download the latest software for them. The sound is a little thin but you have to expect this from such an ultra slim TV, I would recommend a surround sound system if you are a film watcher. Would I recommend this TV, absolutely!!!

Great TV with very good picture quality. Good appearance also with the rose black surround. Sound quality is disappointing so an additional sound system is a must. Also only one scart which can be a nuisance. LED seems to be the way to go with lower power consumption. Overall I am very pleased.

Best TV For the price,
By
This review is from: Samsung UE32B6000 32-inch Widescreen LED TV Full HD 1080P Ultra Slim with Freeview (Electronics)
This tv is amazing, its true colour so black is actually black, although some scenes can be quite dark but it actually does not spoil anything. The size is really good, it does have a buzz sound coming from the back but if the tv is off it disappears and you cant hear it if your watching something. The buzzing is in all electronics due to a step down transformer in the power supply so if you put you laptop charger to your ear you'll hear buzzing, its not annoying and is standard for all electric devices. It is incredibly thin and has loads of ports on the back, it is an HD TV so do not expect much from standard definition as down scaling is poor, this applies to high resolution pc monitors too, so i recommend a blue-ray drive or PS3. I have not heard the sound but from reading reviews its apparently poor, but that said if you are going to buy such a good quality expensive tv like this one you should already have/be considering purchasing a decent sound surround sound system as it does have an optical out port for sound. All in all you are getting your money's worth with a high quality tv which is really thin and LED makes a huge difference.
