(REAL NAME)
Lee Morgan is one of those guys that only a few real jazz cats seem to know. Sad and amazing really. Lee Morgan was an outstanding, fresh and brilliant trumpet player that could compete with the best. Unfortunately he had the misfortune to be amongst those legendary cats such as Dizzy, Miles and later Clifford Brown. This Blue Note recording offers a great chance to hear some of his best work. Accompanied by side man like Ron Carter, Billy Higgins, Cedar Walton, Harald Mabern and George Coleman, you will find this recording jazy and funky at the same time. A typical late 60's Blue note recording by who else than Rudy van Gelder.
Check it out, you won't be dissapointed.
