Are you SURE you want this?
on 17 April 2010
I know what you're thinking - a handheld Dyson! Brilliant! and its shaped like a gun, so you can point it at the missus whilst really imagining that you're some kind of space adventurer. Well, take a deep breath and ask yourself..... do i REALLY want this? Don't get me wrong, I like it - it does what it says on the tin - good suction and stylish design.
Don't kid yourself that you can properly vacuum your car with this - for one, you only get six minutes, and secondly its just not "flexible" enough with the supplied tools. Yes you can get quite a bit up with it, but you wont reach those awkward nooks and crannys because, with the tool attached, its half a metre long (i've just measured).
Its handy for the whipping up a quick bit of dust, but in reality, the kind of usage it would get you could easily do a much better job with a damp cloth - you've just got to weigh up if you want the convenience of not having to wet a cloth......
At around £100, i believe its a lot of money for the benefit you get and you probably get more flexibility from a cylinder cleaner which is just slightly more trouble to get out. Lets face it, its a gadget, and if you like gadgets you'll like this, but I just can't help feeling I got, ahem, sucked into the glamour of owning such a posh gadget. And don't forget its 6 minutes vacuuming for 3.5hrs charging.
