4.0 out of 5 stars Nerf Nstrike Havok Vulcan Blaster
Oh I have a lot of fun with this its a fantastic edition to the collection of Nstrike blasters I have. I love the fact that it is also belt fed.
There is one issue though BATTERIES! the type this gun needs is quite hard to find
You don't need batteries for the gun to shoot but if you want a fully automatic nerf gun get some batteries.;)

1.0 out of 5 stars The basic truth
Yeah is looks good and all that but to be honest it isnt that great.
For starter it isnt very rapid fire and it has NO ACCURACY!
It dosent go very far either and the D batteries it takes are very dear.
It is overpriced by a mile.
If you want a good powerful accurate gun then i would recommend the nite finder.
Its AMAZING, but this isnt a review...

Bought it out of x mas money, for £[] from []. Was hard to put together, as it requires 6 D batteries! which don't come with the gun, but that all payed off! I couldn't have been happier with the quality... until it jammed, so to those who are having trouble with it, here's what to do:
.take the ammo box off, and use it without
.GET MORE BULLETS!!! because some bullets may be faulty. A great gun, HAVE FUN!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun, 20 Sep 2011

A beast of a gun it measures about 75cm long by 30cm wide with the magazine on and approx 40 cm high on the tripod. If it wasn't for the 6'D' batteries it wouldn't be that heavy but they sure add to the weight.
It comes with an ammo belt with room for 25 darts (never enough) and takes a minute or two to set up,most of which is putting the batteries in. It pours the darts out at a good rate and has quite a good range 5-7m. The darts are really soft so no chance of fatalities. You can rest it on the tripod to steady your aim or go Rambo and hipshoot it,spraying darts all over the place.

My son puts down little soldiers or dinosaurs as target practice and loves setting them up and knocking them down again.

As an age range any child can use it, but I would say age 5 and over if you want them to be able to load it up and cock the first dart in place.
There are a couple of things that could have been improved like the build quality, it feels cheap and some of the parts feel like they won't last long,e.g the cocking handle and the tripod. Saying that mine are still in one piece, you would just expect for the price for it to be better built.
The other minor quibble is the magazine box where you can put the ammo belt in, it is the cause of loads of jams and seems to serve no real purpose, so like most people I have the ammo belt hanging loose.
Also because loading the ammo belt takes a couple of minutes (presuming you can find the darts), it takes some of the fun out of it. Having extra belts to buy when it is purchased would have been helpful.
One other point is it can be noisy when firing, so being in the same room watching tv would be annoying not to mention dodging the darts as well.

Still it is an excellent bit of kit and is great fun to use.

Hope this helps

5.0 out of 5 stars The most fun you can have with a Nerf gun, 2 May 2010

This gun is insane. I bought this along with a collection of smaller Nerf guns for a family weekend and to amuse the children (and the deeply childish adults there), with this amazing piece of kit held in reserve as a surprise. The Havok was an unqualified success with huge rate of fire, decent range and widely felt appeal as "coolest toy" there.

I was worried that it would turn out to be quite a flimsy device, but it turned out to be quite solid, far better made than I had expected, with a very satisfactory heft and weight. If I have one grumble about the build quality is that the tripod isn't quite robust enough for the weight of the Havok and has a tendency to fall off when you pick it up. Buyers should note that it requires 6 D cell batteries to work and a very small amount of assembly before you can have fun with it but nothing too onerous.

My main gripe, and it's really petty, is that the ammo belt only holds enough for about 8 seconds of full rate fire before you have to spend 3 mins refilling it and being creamed by everyone else there. I can't find anywhere which sells spare ammo belts enabling more continuous fire, but as I said, it's a petty criticism of a truly great piece of entertainment kit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Defend the Play House!!, 28 Jun 2010
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Hasbro Nerf Nstrike Havok Fire EBF-25 Blaster (Toy)
Got this for Fathers Day.....spent the whole day defending the play house from marauding bandits armed to the teeth with Nerf Pistols......held them off for about 10 seconds at a time before I needed to re-load and was overun.

Seems fairly sturdy, but the tripod gets detached too easy. Rate of fire is good, and it has a good range

Need extra ammo belts though, so that I can load up in advance.
Can't find them anywhere in the UK.

Amazon.com sell them , but won't post that particular item to the UK so come on Amazon.co.uk.....get some spare belts in stock for us!!

The gun is esy to use and has great firing power. You can fire up to 5m with great accuracy. The gun is also safe for the opponant with flimsy darts.

Overall a great product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good buy, 15 Jan 2010
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Hasbro Nerf Nstrike Havok Fire EBF-25 Blaster (Toy)
I'm usually disappointed with most anything but I have to admit i wasn't expecting this gun to be so good. It is powered by 6 D batteries and as soon as i got it up and running I found that the ammo box repetitively came off. So I now use it as spare ammo holder. It works fine with the occasional jam and the 3-bullets-per-second is a lie when you have the wrong batteries. Even so it works with an up to 4m firing range (approximate) and rapid or single fire. There are a few problems, the color (but you can paint it with dry paint) and the fact that when you run out of ammunition you have to sit there picking up the bullets and placing them back into the same belt every time. They sell the ammo belts in America but not in England which is a total rip off.
Overall a good buy and worth the money.
