I was nearly put off this pan by the reviews which said eggs stuck in the poaching pan. Indeed, l found this to be the case when l first used the pan because l didn't 'stick' to the following:
1/ Only use small/ medium eggs.
2/ Only use olive or rapeseed oil to generously coat the poaching pockets till they shine(butter or other fats will cause sticking).
3/ Only put 1cm of water in the lower pan because anymore will cause boiling over and the water becoming contaminated with egg white.
4/ Avoid fast boiling the water.
5/ Only remove the eggs when they move easily in the poaching cups when prodded with the end of a teaspoon (taking care to avoid the steam release holes in the pan carrier).
Using this method l have had perfect results everytime with this pan which is now in daily use.
I have found it a very good pan for the money.

I have used this product quite a lot and have found no problems with it at all......large eggs fit in fine, it looks good, the eggs come out fine (i wipe a tiny amount of butter around the individual egg holders), easy to clean and small and compact... absolutely no complaints

If you remember to oil the plastic egg containers they come out easily. If you forget they stick like ... err crazy.

Timing takes a bit of practice to get right but is consistent once your've figured it out.

Overall good value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy enough even for blokes!, 23 Aug 2012

I agree with the previous reviews - a straightforward, easy to use poaching pan that delivers good results.

I followed the earlier cooking instructions and poached my eggs for about 3mins or so (about as long as it took the muffin to pop in the toaster) and the results where very good - a firm-ish white with a soft yolk just right to run over my English muffin.

I have used lots of poachers in the past. This one's a keeper! Really well-made. Notice the protection on the lid & handle, non-stick pan etc. I find I can use butter & there's no sticking, large eggs (supermarket) & it's great.

I have all the pans in this range, and the egg poacher doesn't disappoint. It is easy to use, well designed, and just does the job. You can use it as a saute pan as well, so it's extremely versatile. It dishwashes easily, what's not to like? Highly recommended.
