4.0 out of 5 stars Tip top
Ignore the muppet who gave it one star because it doesn't have windshield like the picture. The windshield is part of the cooker. It also doesn't come with the tomatoes, bottle of olive oil and tin of beans in the picture. The top and the shelves are a bit flimsy. You can overcome the problem of it not being level by not putting it on sloping ground. In summary - what do...

3.0 out of 5 stars Kamp Kitchen
Just returned from a camping trip in the new forest for a week, the Kamp kitchen worked well as you can put a two burner stove on either surface, I chose the lower one as it meant higher one was at normal kitchen work top height for food preparation. there is lots of storage and its really quite stable once levelled. In summary - what do you expect? Use it sensibly and expect a reasonable product. It's just fine for a few days camping but not if you want to butcher half a pig at the top of the Matterhorn. I would have given it 5 stars but it doesn't come with a champagne fountain or a jaccuzi, and the worktops are not made of marble. I recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kamp Kitchen, 4 Aug. 2010

Just returned from a camping trip in the new forest for a week, the Kamp kitchen worked well as you can put a two burner stove on either surface, I chose the lower one as it meant higher one was at normal kitchen work top height for food preparation. there is lots of storage and its really quite stable once levelled. There a couple of gripes, firstly it doesnt have an adjustable leveling leg so packers are required but the main one is the surfaces are just hardboard with a plastic coating so if it gets wet the water gets under the plastic and the hardboard swells, so my sufaces are all bumpy at the edges now. When the hardboard eventaully goes I will replace with a more suitable water proof ply. All in all good value for the £45 I paid.

The field kitchen is sturdy and great value for money compared to any similar products I have seen. It opens out in just a few simple motions and folds down just as easily. Ideal for camping as it stores food away from any creepy crawlies! It comes with a handy carrying case and I would recommend this product to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kampa Kitchen, 25 Aug. 2011

Excellent unit. Does just what it's supposed to. Only one thing is that the 'cupboard' shelf is rather flimsy. The table top could do with some sealant to make it a little water resistant.

This is easily assembled, very stable and quite ingenious with the hooks on the side for utensils, the storage, and the little bag for rubbish or whatever. It wiped clean and was surprisingly easy to store in its little carrying bag. I was very impressed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Neat idea, too flimsy, 19 Aug. 2013

This review is from: Kampa - Commander Field Kitchen (Misc.)
Product spec reads well, neat design, a brilliant solution to camp site food storage mayhem, easy to assemble BUT having used it once this summer, wish I spent more on a better made one to ensure durable repeat use. If you are a regular camper, spend the extra money and look for an aluminium table top product...

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent *****, 2 July 2011
This review is from: Kampa - Commander Field Kitchen (Misc.)
We had a steel taller camp kitchen, but was unsteady on uneven ground. We purchased this kampa kitchen and used it for 2 weeks camping. It was well worth the investment. We wish we had purchaed one of these years ago. It is sturdy, steady and really useful. The zip up larder, keeps out the bugs and flies. ( ie somewhere to keep bread etc). It folds up small in to a cotton bag. Would recommend this to anyone.
