Bought this fire station for my fire obsessed 4 year old and he adores it. It is very realistic and has alot of lovely details. Very good value for money. Takes a while to put together but lots of fun doing it!

The fire station took two adults an hour and a half to construct!!
The three year old who received it was "over the moon". He also got the fire engine.
The toys have been well played with in the week since his birthday.

My son was desperate to add this to his collection of Playmobil. He even saved up the money himself.
The time to put together didn't worry us & it was easy enough with the instructions.
The trouble is how flimsy it is. It's a good idea with the pole etc but it's not made in the right way. It constantly falls apart and the pole is unusable! It's flimsy and of really poor quality. The firemen have now moved out of the fire station and live in the Playmobil police station. My son very rarely plays with this and just gets frustrated when he does.
I'm really disappointed with this and strongly recommend parents think twice before buying it. It carries the good Playmobil name which made me ignore the reviews and go ahead anyway.

We bought this for our son's third birthday to go with the matching fire engine. I had no idea that it required building so was slightly alarmed when I saw it recommended one hour to build the thing. My poor boy could only watch as I sat there with piles of tiny bits of plastic and scant instructions and attempted to put the thing together! I eventually did it (in slightly over an hour!) and was pleased with the result. My son loves playing with it but it is fairly flimsy for a 3-year old and he did fall on it and it came to pieces again which was a bit of a nightmare but luckily I put it back together again fairly easily.

In sum I think it is a good toy and allows for nice positive, creative play, but you defo need the fire engine too as that really makes it!

Takes a while to assemble but like all playmobil feels good quality. My son has the fire engine and other fire dept stuff to match and it all looks good together. Hasn't played with it as much as I thought he would though, perhaps because it is quite big and needs a bit of assembly every time it is played with.

This is a great role-play toy.
However, I'm so glad that I have a thing about not giving toys to young children still in all it's packaging and decided to open it well before Christmas. What a shock! Nothing on the box (well ... finally I've found a very small note in a tiny corner on the BOTTOM of the box!) to warn you that it comes in a thousand tiny pieces and is, in reality, a construction kit of minuscule detail ... AND the pieces are not even packed logically, so when needing a bracket to fix an aeriel, for example, you have to hunt through the randomly packed little packets to find it! What a nightmare. Not for the faint-hearted: Four hours on amd I'm only about halfway through. What a disaster it would have been if I'd left it packaged till Christmas Day.
I recommend the toy, but give yourself plenty of time and patience for building it.

I love Playmobil and am well accustomed to the fiddly red and yellow bits and putting it all together. This was just so annoying though- I kept making mistakes with the white walls and having to redo areas. It's not as sturdy as other Playmobil sets- in fact it's currently in pieces again waiting to be reassembled as the tower falls off easily as does the wall with the folding red doors. My 8 year old boy loves it but it's not my favourite piece of Playmobil- the police station is far more sturdy.

This product does not quite meet the standards expected from Playmobil, in that although the build quality is ok, the design means that it is a tad flimsy. This may be due in part to the difference in ages of our grandchildren (3 & 5). The connected parts seem to separate very easily, and a rebuild has to take place!
The product in itself is ok, but perhaps not for the smaller hands of the youngest.

lots of parts to assemble. Not that robust when put together. My 6 year old son plays with this and every time the construction of the unit just comes apart. I purchased the police and jail unit and the fire station, and after 1 assembly I did not even open the other---- need an engineering degree, lots of time and then after its up it comes back down
