It's amazing to hear such a young band produce such a huge, epic sound. It's a world apart from the spiky disco-rock that's been in vogue for some time, which Operahouse themselves occasionally partook in in the past. Every track is ambitious in scope, and while I'm not usually a fan of overly slick production, here it works extremely well with the expansive sound.
And more importantly than all of that, every song has something to say, and is laden with hooks. If you like Spiritualized, and (dare I say it) The Bends-era Radiohead, you'll love this.
