This was a present for my 4 yr old niece, her 1st kite. I didn't recieve the exact same butterfly as shown(different colours) but it made absoloutly no difference what so ever i don't think i could have made a better hit in the present stakes. We went to the park as soon as it was unwrapped and constructed, which was as easy as pie and the hours just flew by, she had so much fun and even though she couldn't quite get the knack of keeping it up for long she thought the whole experience was hilarious and fell in love with the butterfly which was promptly given a name. I had a go for myself and it flies really well, it looks great is sturdy and although i worried she was too young for it it wasn't a problem and it fits nicely in your shoulder bag, you can fly it very high or on a very short string, both work well and the price was great.

## Donot Buy this Kit. Its a rip off ##

This is one of the worst product I bought on Amazon. The Kite is very very small in size. Doesnt fly even if there is good wind. Looks good on the photo. In actual you will be suprised you paid GBP 7+ for it. It should cost 0.50 pence. Very disappointed with amazon.

excellent item, my daughter is 6 yrs old and can use this on her own, being smaller and light weight even if there is no wind she can run down the field and it flies, would definitely recommend this product it is excellent value for money.

What a fabulous little kite this is. I bought three for my playgroup and the children absolutely loved them. There wasn't an awful lot of wind on the day we used them but what there was enabled the children to fly their kites by running with the kite. Perfect size for preschoolers who found no problem at all in using them with very little adult help. Love, love, love and highly recommend.

I took this kite out today (3rd July 11) with just a slight breeze and sometimes no wind. I had to wait for the wind, and then ran along the line which I'd laid out on the grass, and up it went, all the way to the end of the line, what a nice sight!

It has a gentle way of flying and stays high up when the breeze picks up. Due to lack of wind, it lost height and then hovered at about 6-10' and I found that if I kept tension on the line, I could pull it towards me and catch it with my hands so that it would land without crashing into the ground. the tail helps a lot to keep it at the right angle to catch the wind. Small children might need help organizing the tail prior to launching. There are two simple fibreglass rods which form an x to support the wings, and they slot into pockets. It doesn't take strength to fix them into place, but don't bend too hard, obviously. Once fixed into place, it's easy to carry the kite around.

It's better to leave the line lying on the ground, don't try to reel it in by gathering it up in your hands like I did or you'll get the most awful tangle, which takes ages to sort out. Also buy a spare line or two so that mom or dad can sit and sort out the knots while the youngsters run around with the kite.

What a wonderful mini kite..All my friends are jealous of this mini beauty which flies like a dream...I purchased the mini kite as I was going on holiday abroad and wanted to introduce my friends to kite flying on the beach. I ordered late (as usual) and retained the order even when I found that delivery was not due until 1st to 5th October. I was disappointed but resigned as I was due to leave early morning on 1st October. I ordered another pocket kite not a butterfly which was due for delivery 29th September. Both kites arrived on the 29th September...well done Brookite...Your butterfly kite will be left in Cyprus as my friends demand so...I'll have to buy another when I get home.

Do not be deterred by the size of this kite when you open the over the top packaging box! It flies really well and high and my children and I have had a great time with it.
Enjoy.

Butterfly itself looks great in the sky.

The ribbons were not well stitched on and came off during the first flight - first crash. They also have the problem of getting tangled on the ground but that's just ribbons.

The major failing was that the clip to fasten the string to the kite kept coming loose with the result of a recurring crashed kite and an upset little girl. The idea of a clip to attach is good as it helps in storage but it has to be reliable. I ended up cutting it off and tying the string directly to the kite.
