This is a great TV but I'm sure it was only £790.00 the other month when I bought it. I bought the internet dongle but at the moment I don't think it's worth the money. There are only limited widgets at the moment and the ability to show movies wirelessly from your laptop is very slow and a bit of a non starter. It is fine to HDMI it but a slight dissapointment nonetheless. The picture is second to none and that is why I gave it 5 stars. The sound is a little tinny but it's worth playing with the sound settings. Additional surround sound speakers would be good but not altogether essential. This is a really stylish TV and I am more than happy with it but I would shop around for the best price.

We were given this TV as a wedding anniversary present a short while ago. A judicious bit of 'tweaking' the picture quality to suit our personal preferences resulted in a picture which can only be described as breathtaking! We use a Humax FoxSat FreeSat tuner in conjunction with the TV to get the full HD experience - but even the FreeView channels from the receiver's built-in tuner are excellent - as are the pictures from our Sony DVD recorder, which is NOT a BluRay device. We are absolutely delighted with the set. The audio is a bit 'thin' as must be expected from any TV of this design having a very narrow cabinet. There is an optical audio output for a Home Cinema set-up but if you want to feed the sound into your existing hi-fi and find that it (your hi-fi) only has RCA (Phono) type sockets for inputs, you should look at the CYP DCT-3 digital-to-analog converter (on Amazon) CYP DCT-3 Digital Audio to Analogue Converter which we also purchased and it works a treat!

I spent AGES trying to get my head around LED, LCD, PLASMA, etc etc... and visited various shops to see them in the flesh, so to speak. This is by far the best unit I believe. The picture is nothing short or amazing, and the sound is actually fine. It was the sound I was slightly worried about, but its still loud, and not noticeably tinny and I never use more than about 60% volume. Cant recommend this enough. My only gripe is you have to by a wireless usb stick separately to get online, but to be honest, its slow and I wouldn't really use it (I have a ps3 plugged into the back anyway). The interface is also really clear, and very pretty. Well worth the money.
