This scope is quite large and very heavy so you will need a good strong tripod to mount it on, but the quality of manufacture, and the image you get through this scope is superb. I do intend to get the adaptors needed to fit my SLR to the scope, but even taking hand held shots with my compact held to the eyepiece reveals individual seeds in a bird feeder about 30 yards away. I did receive the wrong carrying case in the box, but this was soon sorted after a phone call to Picstop, who got me the proper case from Celestron very quickly with no fuss. This was the best price I could find for this scope anywhere, and I have been very happy with the product and service I have received.

The 80 mm primary lens aids Bright & Crystal clear images, with 2 x focus controls, normal & fine, normal focus on subject and fine tune to crisp image, 20-60 Zoom excellent but loses edge progressively thru the range, up to x35 magnification very good.
Excellent Birding & Nature viewing.
Excellent overal spec competing with scopes at significantly higher pricing.

The bad points first: the focussing should have been geared at about half what it is. It takes far too many turns from one end to the other. Weight, all 80mm scopes are heavy, this is more than most. Difficult (nearly impossible 88mm I think) to get filter to protect the main lens.
1) The optics are excellent
2) The eyepiece is 1:1/4 fit. Meaning the unit is able to take on the many eyepieces available.
3) The eyepiece is zoom of good quality, that makes them very expensive.
4) The tripod fitting is a clamp so the scope can be rotated.
5) retractable lens hood, i think these are essential
6) The cloth case is reasonable
To protect the main lens I used a cheap 86mm uv filter with a four layers of pipe fitting PTFE tape. Not perfect, but does the job.
