I purchased this camera after searching a while for one that at least had face detection and I was going to purchase the Lumix FS7 but after reading some reviews on this camera I decided on buying this one.

What I can say it's great the pictures are clear crisp excellent quality and come out fantastic when printing on photo paper max prints 76 × 102 cm (30 × 40 in.). The camera has a face detection of 5 faces max I have had a few issues with it sometimes where it's only seen 1 face in night shots and mistakenly tags a glass as someones face ???? but other than that I have no issues with the picture when it's taken.

It also has 3x Optical zoom which is great along with it's smart capture auto focus feature where it will focus on the far items and if someone steps into the shot it will then focus on them instead for a great picture it also has a 5x digital zoom but I have not used that as optical is better I think. The camera has blur reduction so if the object is moving slightly or your on moving ground it takes great pics on the move. Battery life is amazing it's not one of them cameras that uses 2x AA batteries that only last 1 hr it's lithium and I charged it 1st go for 3hrs till the light stopped blinking. I used it on a night out for about 3hrs in total and it only went down 1/4, the camera is also very very light.

It also comes with 16mb of internal memory at 10mp it only can save 4 pictures I have a 4GB SHDC Memory card and at 10mp it can store 1990 photos perfect I think I'll hardly use that in 1 photo session. With a 4GB card for video recording at 640x480 setting it will record upto 54mins of VGA video with 24fps very good quality too. I plan to buy a 16GB card to maximize the memory on this camera so I can record more video if I need too or take more pics.

Fantastic camera, really happy with its quality and easy use and its stylish look, couldn't ask for more!

So far so good. Takes good photos, has alot of different settings etc.
Nice and small so fits in your pocket but the screen is still big enough to see the photos.

Had a long search for a new digital camera and decided to purchase this one and I'm really glad I did. It's compact and slim-line and very easy to use. I've had a Kodak camera in the past and would fully recommend this brand to anyone.

This camera belongs to my wife and I could not resist having a go with it and it is so impressive BUT unfortunately this is a big BUT.Trying to take photographs in the sun proved nigh impossible the screen was useless it acted like a mirror and it was impossible to see the view through the camera. I could only point the camera at the view and hope for the best. I was in Lanzarote and I particularly wanted to try the panoramic stitching but it was impossible to achieve. Kodak cameras are fantastic value and yet strangely you do not see many in use. I bought this for my daughter, whose previous Kodak camera did not stand up to being dropped onto a hard surface from a great height (but then again, not many would). As her previous camera was brilliant, we thought a new Kodak would be a reasonable choice. It was and we were certainly not let down! It's a really good camera, producing excellent quality photos with all the functionality of it's bigger named rivals - for much less money. If you've not previously thought of having a Kodak - think again is my advice. If you have tried or owned Kodak digital cameras before then you don't need this review, do you?

This Kodak M340 Digital Camera - Black (10.2 MP, 3x Optical Zoom, 5X Digital Zoom) 2.7 inch LCD is ideal for children under 10,it teaches them how to use digital Camera without having to worry about the expence it the accidentally damage it.

I bought this camera just over a year ago. At the time it worked fine, taking good photos and with a wide range of options. It is also fairly easy to use.

The EasyShare software is terrible and always has been - it is much easier to find out where the photos are stored on your computer and do it from there, whether for uploading, emailing or simply viewing your pictures. EasyShare was slow and broke down regularly, although I have a good laptop on which every other program runs almost completely problem-free.

The main problem, however, was that just after one year, this camera promptly broke, for no reason at all. As it was after a year, the warranty was finished, and it would cost more to repair the camera than to buy a new one.

I would never advise this camera or the Kodak software to anyone.
