We bought this for our daughter's 4th birthday, and whilst they're far too fiddly for her to use at the moment (despite having a 4+ age recommendation) I've had hours of fun with them ha ha! I've made her jewellery, figures and other little toys which she's enjoyed playing with. And incredibly simple to use, if you're not 4. I just think it's a toy suited to older children- 6+ in my opinion. And of course big kids like me! I'm 30 in August, and wondering which set I'm going to ask my hubby for as a birthday gift...

My daughters 5 & 7 both received the Aqua bead flower for Christmas and it was an instant hit - I wasn't that impressed with it as I was thinking about all the ironing..... then I found out that unlike Hama beads there is no requirement for ironing and they can make whatever they like all on there own! I have just purchased the refill pack to keep them occupied all over, they love them.

Don't get me wrong here, Aqua beads are great fun for kids of all ages - my 5 year old girl loves them to bits and spends hours with them - she can use the Power pen or the plonkers without issue, and doesn't need constant supervision with them. The problem comes when the beads run out. Flair have removed their Refill products from the market, and refuse to give any indication that they may come back. The only option left to parents is to keep buying the same packs over and over which, believe me, is an expensive way of buying cheap plastic bead replacements. Also, none of the pack have many beads in them - 400 beads may sound a lot, but they won't last 5 minutes once your childrens' imagination starts to get going. All this leaves my daughter, along with many others no doubt, having a drawer full of unusable gadgets for a toy that can no longer be played with. SORT IT OUT FLAIR !!

My daughters just love their aqua beads sets.
They both received a set for Xmas, (9 & 12 yrs). They've made loads of shapes and patterns. the perfect toy when they have had to spend time indoors during the freezing conditions.

Great present for a little girl, hours of fun and you don't have to iron it just spray with water. I think this is a lot better idea than the Hamma beads as the kids didn't want to wait for me to iron their creations.

I bought this product for a friends daughters 8th birthday. She loves it and has played for hours - good fun and you can mix and match different sets. Reasonably priced and well worth it. Would buy again.
