5.0 out of 5 stars Nice one Samsung
I'm a novice with all things technical but this TV was a doddle to set up, when they said auto set up that's exactly what it did. It has a crisp clear picture, excellent sound quality and it was good value for money. I trekked around most of the big retailers and saw an awful lot of TV's many costing far more than this model and yet they didn't have the picture clarity...

3.0 out of 5 stars Samsung
I had to send the first one back as it would not hold in the scanned channels. Every couple of days it would lose all the information and I would have to rescan again which takes a good few minutes. Replacement is fine, it has a nice clear picture and was simple to set up. My only grumble with it is that when you want to see what is on all digital free view channels, the...

It has a crisp clear picture, excellent sound quality and it was good value for money. I trekked around most of the big retailers and saw an awful lot of TV's many costing far more than this model and yet they didn't have the picture clarity that this one has. Only one minor draw back, the remote control has got more buttons than the Star Ship Enterprise. I'm still sorting out what they all do whilst trying to stop my wife from trying to answer it when the phone rings. Nice one Samsung.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent TV with good viewing angle, 1 Jun 2009
I bought this TV for a loft conversion to wall mount having previously bought the previous generation of this type in both 26" and 37". I have found this TV to be vastly superior, so much so that I am considering upgrading all of my Sumsung TV's. The picture is clear and sharp and viewable from acute angles and is a complete breeze to setup. The red backlight is a nice touch and makes it look cool on my wall. Very happy with the TV and would recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Samsung!!, 24 May 2009
Absolute brilliant television. easy set up virtually plug in answer a few typical questions which are UK and it scans for analogue channels or digital channels when finished just move channels to where you want eg. BBC1 channel 1 etc. Sound is excellent when trusound turned on. Colour is vibrant and with various settings you can have the system the way you want it. Really set up could be done without the manual. The tv looks and feels very substantial, shiny black and solid. Delighted with Amazon service first set delivered had a tuner fault, contacted returns within one hour of delivery for exchange, absolutely faultless didn't even have to speak to anyone, new set delivered 8.30 next day and faulty one collected. Top marks Amazon and Samsung.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to tune in and use., 29 Jun 2009

This TV was purchased for my elderly mother and was very easy to tune in and is simple to operate with the remote control being very straight forward to understand.
It took some research to trace these features in a tv and with the current changes to digital in my area and all the publicity it is receiving, a manufacturer promoting tv sets suitable for the elderly could attract this corner of the market.

Replacement is fine, it has a nice clear picture and was simple to set up. My only grumble with it is that when you want to see what is on all digital free view channels, the text is very small and is difficult to see.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Samsung TV, 4 Jun 2009
I bought this TV to replace my mums old CRT TV in her bedroom. I can only echo the comments that have already been said. She isnt using any HD sources at present just the standard ariel as an input and the picture looks great on this 26" model, simple to setup and my mum is over the moon with this TV. I used the Amazon prime delivery option when ordering this TV and it came the next day befrom 08:30am - Top Stuff :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great TV, excellent picture, no problems, 23 Aug 2009
Purchased this with Amazon's next-day delivery and it arrived at 9:15am.
Setup is easy. This is for my mother whose aerial has not yet been upgraded for digital so it needed to be able to handle analogue tuning well and I was unsure how it would perform on this.
Setup was a breeze, even my mum could have done it.
I was delighted with the high quality of the analogue picture, as was she.
I don't share the criticisms about the sound quality other reviewers have posted. Yes it isn't a glorious surround-sound experience - but if you want that you have a separate AV amp and speakers.
The built-in sound is perfectly adequate. Volume is also sufficiently loud (and my mum has some hearing issues).
Some of the comments made, had made me unsure of this purchase.
I'm pleased that I went ahead and would reassure others unsure on that basis.
Its a great all-round purchase, the DVD playback quality was excellent so I know that digitally it will perform.
Also looking forward to hooking up pc / laptop via the VGA connection and testing that out.
The only downside which has already been mentioned is there is no power off switch, which means its left on standby and has to be switched off completely via the plug socket. If this is an issue then it's possible to get a remote control for the wall socket.

Overall - a great TV at a great price - recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Samsung 26 inch TV with Freeview, 4 Aug 2009
The great thing about this TV is that the screen adjusts to how much light is in the room so it takes a lot of the glare from the screen. It was bought to be watched in the Conservatory where there, hopefully, is sunshine shining in. It was very easy to set up, the sound is great and it fixed to a bracket to fix on the wall very easily. We have had the 42 inch version for about 4 years and have had no problems.

4.0 out of 5 stars SO FAR SO GOOD, 29 Jul 2009
Bought this model last week (great service from Amazon arrived next day -using a standard delivery). Easy to set up (Plug and Play), have now gone from only 4 terrestrial Analogue channels to 72 Digital and 9 Analogue on an old Analogue aerial !!! Even more surprising is my regional area is not due to go Digital until 2010 !!! So have got a lot more than I bargained for at only £298.99 (now dropped to £293.99 in a week). Best priced Samsung TV by far, great picture, easy to use, sound not as good as say a Panasonic, but hey you get what you pay for !
Very Pleased.

CELTIC BHOY
