I needed a good birthday gift for my wife. She has a large digital SLR that produces perfect images but is too bulky for everyday use. The ES55 produces images comparable to her top spec SLR and fits easily into her handbag. She loves the gift and takes it everywhere. The ES55 has all the features she needs and a few extras, eg instant cropping etc. Tight close-ups are pretty good too - good enough for family photos etc. The Amazon product description was spot on. A great value little camera. I gave it to my 10 year old daughter for her birthday and find myself borrowing it! Easy to use and good battery life. Comes with usb charger and plug. recommended..

i was given this camera as a birthday present and didnt really think much of it. It was'nt until i actually started using the camera i appreciated what a great camera this is! The amount of features were endless! Firstly, face detection. For a low budget camera, i was not expecting much. This camera managed to snap an image with nine people and recognised the faces of each. it is also capable of recognising up to 11 faces in one picture. My old £200 camera would not recognise more than three! Secondly, blink detection. I know to some people it must sound like a useless feature, but once you have tried it, its something you wont be able to live without. When you take an image, the camera lets you know if the person in the picture has blinked while the picture was taken and then gives you the option to re-take the image. Not even my friends £450 camera has a feature like that. Lastly, smile detection. smile and the camera will take an image. Excellent for using instead of a timer like many more expensive cameras have.

Not only because of its features is it a good camera, but the lens is also very good. Carrying a 10 mega pixel sensor, all you images would come out very clear, even when enlarging them to A3 size. The 2.5" LCD display is very bright, which is a huge benefit when under bright light. Overall, this camera is excellent value for money. If your after a decent camera at an amazing price, i would thoroughly reccommend this Samsung ES55.

This Camera is just what I needed, it is small enough to put in my pocket and very light. It is also very easy to use, and as this is my first Digital Camera, this is very helpful. It is very easy to transfer the Pictures onto the computer as well. Would recommend this to my friends.

I bought this camera after some careful review reading and shopping and have been really pleased with the results. My intention was to have a little camera I could have in my pocket to take out and get shots of the children. It does that brilliantly, starts up fast and shows clearly you photo on the screen. It can also be much more as you can change the type of photo, colour, resolution etc. My only must would be to get a memory card at the same time as purchase as it won't hold more than three photos otherwise. Definately a good buy, I'd recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this camera after reading the glowing reviews on here, but I had to admit to having doubts as to whether someone who has never used a digital camera before, let alone loaded pics onto a PC would ever master it.

Well, 2 HOURS after I received it I was emailing photos of my pets to various family and friends!

A compact, well designed camera with a slim book of simply explained, basic instructions and a disk which gives detailed information on how everything works.

Perfect for first time users, this really has all the features I think I will ever need in a digital camera.

THIS CAMERA IS EXCELLENT. EASY TO USE. RESULTS ARE GREAT. AND IT FITS IN YOUR POCKET SO CAN BE TAKEN EVERY WHERE YOU MAY GO. GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY PAID.

I'm a complete novice when it comes to digital cameras so I'm not sure how much my review will count for, but I find the Samsung easy to use and think that the picture quality is excellent. It's lightweight and quite stylish looking, although I think it should have come with at least a pouch to keep it in. It's good not to have to worry about batteries but it does mean that you need to think to charge it ahead of time and take an adaptor with you if you go abroad.

I bought this camera for a quick and easy point and shoot. And it does just that. Nice and compact, easy to fit in a small bag or coat pocket. It has many different features but i haven't used them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this camera even my 5 year daughter can do it. Excellent value for money.
