Connect Four Monsters in a Lego graveyard,

This is part of a range of Lego games made from standard Lego pieces, and that means you need to build the board and pieces yourself before you start playing.Once you have built it, you have a game for two to four players. The board represents a small graveyard, and the pieces are monsters that sit on top of the headstones. The object is to get four monsters in a row - basically the same as the old game Connect Four. There are some additional rules. You roll a die to determine what parts of the graveyard you can put your next piece. Sometimes, you get the option to replace another player's monster with yours. There are skeletons, which act as wildcards, and there is a fearsome spider that can scare away all the monsters in one of the quarters of the graveyard. These additional rules make the game much more interesting, while retaining the simple and easy-to-understand rules of Connect Four. Lego, as a creative company, encourage you to modify the rules or add your own. The construction and gameplay is much more straightforward than either LEGO Games 3841 Minotaurus or LEGO Games 3843 Ramses Pyramid, which actually makes this game more fun, because you can get set up and start playing much more quickly. It's a good family game; there's enough strategy to make it interesting, but there's enough randomness to give everyone in the family a reasonable chance of winning. Each game is unlikely to last longer than 15 minutes. There's nothing terribly original about this game, but it's good simple fun, and you can't really say fairer than that.

Lego have created a fantastic and user friendly game with this one. My Son was bought it by a friend for his birthday in September and we haven't stopped playing it since. It has made my Son, who's 7, think in a logical way about how to place the monsters on the board in order to give himself the best chance of winning. Most children get bored very quickly with board games as the rules are long and tedious with no quick result. This game though is so easy and quick that we can play it while eating breakfast and lunch and we play "best of 3"! I like this game so much that I will definately be buying at least one of the others for my Son for Christmas, although actually me and my husband will probably play them when he's gone to bed!Well done Lego, this is a winner.

I got this for my son's 8'th birthday. He really enjoyed setting it up and the fact it DOESN'T have to be dismantled to put it back in the box. We played the game with my older sister who has servere downsyndrome with a very low mental age. The game play was simple and we all enjoyed the game - they found it funny when the monsters had to flee back home because they were scared of the Spider! I thought it was a great little game and look forward to playing it again and again.

I bought this for my seven year old, who could easily grasp the rules of play. He enjoyed setting up the board. Each game lasts about 10 mins and it's a bit like noughts and crosses or four in a row. Good value, rules easy to read and understand. We like it!

Got this for our 5 year old son at Xmas but we all love it. Once assembled it can be kept intact in the box. My son grasped the concept of four in a row quickly and now tries to win by making up his own rules!! My 4 year old doesn't quite get it, but its such a cute and colourful well made game that she plays it with us regardless. Recommended buy.

i bought this for my son for his 7th birthday, he set it up quickly ( as he loves his lego) and we got playing almost immediately. easy concept , but good fun with the twists to the game. games do not last too long so it is a greatgame to get out for a short 10 min game session.i would reccommend this to anyone. we have the racing game too which is also good fun.this one is less fiddly and easier for younger kids i think.

I bought this game for my grandchildren to play when they visit. The oldest one built it faster than I could so I asked for it to stay assembled for the younger ones to play with. Once the rules were understood everyone enjoyed the game. The only downside in my opinion is the small size but at least it easy to store away. Everyone enjoys playing with it without getting bored too soon.
