I wanted a camera that gave excellent results but is simple to use (point and shoot). The Canon is a little more expensive but the results are simply superb> this camera replaces a Practica (7Mp)which gave mediocre images even in the best conditions. The Canon identifies faces, sets a sharp focus, and delivers a first class image - every time. It is lightweight with easy to understand controls, the optional viewfinder is useful in bright light when the LCD screen is obscured. I highly recommend this camera.

This camera was a great improvement on my previous digital camera. The display is a good size and the image is very clear. The functions are easy to use and the instructions are very user friendly. The image quality is excellent. The camera is small enough to fit in a pocket, but doesn't compromise the size of the image display. This is a good camera and is value for money. Recommended.

Still trying to work out the range of functions it can do. But overall produces vibtrant pictures quickly and simply. It is quite small and slim too so convenient to keep in a pocket etc.

This is an excellent camera - compact, simple to operate but with lots of additional features. I had the Ixus 40 and upgraded. The pictures are clear and the resolution is so good that the photos blow up to A4 no trouble, and perhaps more important you can crop the pictures to show just a small section and it will also blow up well. I recommend without reservation to the amateur photographer. And it has a viewfinder which obviates using the screen in bright sun (when screens can't be seen).

We were thinking of replacing our digital camera and after losing it on holiday we were pushed to make a choice. This is a great little camera and we have already taken a variety of photos and short videos with excellent results. I am sure the other facilities of this camera will give us even better pictures once we have mastered them. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small digital camera at a good price.

Product delivered very quickly, competative price, this camera is simple and easy to use and has produced great results, has the benefit of a viewfinder as well as a large 2.5 inch LCD screen.

This is one awesome camera, flawless!!!!!! If your like me and you want an all round camera it takes amazing photos the macro is also very good quality. Honestly best thing ive bought in ages!

After reading some reviews this seemed like a very good camera at a great price.
Bought two for the kids at Christmas (teens) and they have been delighted. Nice and compact, looks smart, simple to use, quick to start up and reasonable reaction times.
They have been snapping now for a week and it's been a hit.
This is the fourth canon camera in the house (EOS 350D and IXUS 100 IS) and we have had no problems with any of them.
After a time a 3.0x looms can be a limitation but for a general point and shoot - Recommended? - Yes.

I've been using Canon cameras for years since I had an EOS 300 - takes pictures on one of those funny round things with a whole down the core and a long strip of rolled up material inside it. That's it, film! This is my 3rd Ixus. Scratched the screen on the first one to heck. Burnt the lens cover on the 2nd one taking (too) close-ups of candles. This 95 is a belting little camera. I love the widescreen function - I have some seascapes from Greece taken over Easter that are just stunning. The digital macro function is spot on. I think the clarity is actually superior to the Canon SLRs (unless you buy the lenses the professionals use). Battery life is good (but I'd advise carrying a spare - where is there to charge your battery when you're halfway up a mountain taking shots of alpine flowers?) Highly recommend this. And just love the Aegean blue turquoise colour ... (sorry, that was very girly).
