4.0 out of 5 stars Not the first nor the last
A little more research is needed for these sort of comps-the first of which was LOVE 'EM DO and this repeats the same mistake re Kansas City-that the Little Richard version was the model for the Beatles' version and NOT Wilbert Harrison whose No 1 success no doubt inspired the idea of Little Richard's cover.
As for Red Sails in the Sunset-the obvious model for this...

As for Red Sails in the Sunset-the obvious model for this was the Tab Hunter version which has been the B side of the No I hit Young love.
The 2 CDs on Rhythm and Blues Records-Beatles Beginnings- are nearer the mark and should serve as the yardstick for all future CDs of this kind
