I did not even know that Amazon sold Key Safes, so I was completely surprised when I found this one and it was on special offer. I had been searching for one so that the carers who visited my mother had a way of entering the flat even if she could not get to the door.

The product description was clear and when it arrived the instructions were also easy to understand. The installation was simple and the quality of the product was plain to see. It has performed well and all users have quickly mastered its operation.

I have no hesitation in recommending the ABUS 787 Key Garage to anyone. I am very happy with every stage of the process from seeing it in Amazon, ordering it, product delivery, installation and use.

This unit is built very well with a good sturdy construction. It is simple to use and has plenty of room inside for a number of keys, keyrings etc. Wall mounting is via 2 screws which are supplied with wall plugs. Just as good as other units I have seen costing more.

Sturdy construction. Fixngs supplied were weak and therefore fitted four bolts set in resin into brickwork.Maybe an improvement would be for the protective sliding cover to pull down rather than up.

ABUS 787 Key Garage - Wall Mounted 46331Having reconciled myself to having to make do with a much larger electronic safe, I found this which is absolutely perfect for my needs. No batteries to wear out - entirely mechanical operation - it offers the perfect secure solution for making a spare set of house keys always available.
Robust construction, simple to fit - just four screws (fitted from inside the unit so very secure although the screws provided were a little on the small side so I used bigger ones) and very easy to use.
Can heartily recommend this product to anyone who needs to leave a spare set of keys outside but securely. Much better and safer than under a flowerpot!

Well made and easy to fit. The only downside is that the numbers on the combination lock are small and can be difficult to read, especially in poor light. However, it does what it is supposed to do.

The unit is very sturdy. The screws supplied are a bit on the short side, so I used some more substantial #10 x 1.5". The numbers on the rotating thumb wheels can be a bit hard to read in poor light. Otherwise very pleased with the purchase.

Nice solid item used at elderly parents place for carer's access.
Solid and easy to fix, screws provided (but not the wall plugs?)
Would have been better if it had a hook inside for key to hang on.
Easy to set the code and operate.
Overall good value for money.

This is a great, solid item. Good idea and great price, others I priced were about £40-£50!! Easy to instal, and first class service from Amazon as usual.

Recieved this key safe two days ago. After only being opened twice it now refuses to open with the keys trapped inside. Have spent hours today trying to get it open to no avail. Very disappointed with this product especially considering the glowing reviews from other people. Possibly just got a bad one but now have a problem of a key safe that I can't open and can't remove from the wall. Useless.ABUS 787 Key Garage - Wall Mounted 46331

Numbers are to small and fiddly
Numbers are very difficult to see in poor light
Keys fall to bottom of box making it difficult to close
If you do manage to close it chances are it interferes with mechanism when you do try to open it via the small turning wheel you are meant to move down after putting in code
Its not long before you need to use a hammer and screwdriver to try and get it open
HOPELESS!
