Seems harder than the enigma.
on 9 March 2012
This puzzle is great. Very durable, unbreakable i'd say. The first hanayama puzzle i got was the baroq, which i solved fairly quickly (i'm not that clever but it's a level four which seemed like a medium level of difficulty). The second was the enigma which i'd say is quite hard. I managed to take the enigma apart within 2 hours but overall it took me about four day's none stop (pretty much) to figure out the method for taking it apart and reassembling it. Thge enigma seemed easier to figure as the shape of it seems to hint at which direction you should go. But this one, equa, seems to give very little clues. I have had no luck with it so far and have had it about 2 weeks. A previous reviewer has said it has a fairly long sequence of moves. If that's so then i'm still stuck on the very first sequence. I'm finding it harder than the enigma. Equa looks cool too. It's pocket sized so can be taken out anywhere to kill a moment of boredom. I'd say try this before trying vortex or quartet as those (even though i don't have them) seem really hard.
