Being a Swede, and having visited events in more recent years at Circus, the Victorian era hall in central Stockholm where this was filmed in the early 1970s, it was interesting to watch Parade. It's a "lost" recording Tat, made for Swedish state TV in 1974, after the great film Playtime had made him broke in the late 1960s. One of the more surprising aspects was actually the audience featured, which I imagine was drawn from the left-leaning art and performance circles of 1970s Stockholm. Even if I grew up in Stockholm in the 1970s, I'd forgotten how far out some people were in fashion and hair! But what about Tati, the great man himself? Unless you're a fan of his earlier films, it's probably not very interesting, and the tempo is slow (even for being Tati). Having said that, it was a refreshing experience to watch, like reading a classic book or seeing a good theater performance. Not a film for a Saturday night, but for a rainy Sunday.

Not Tati's best - I've mixed reactions between admiration & disappointment
