That's what the cheeky delivery guy said as he handed this to me. "Ken Dodd?"

So every time I use it that's what I remember :)

It works well and is great for poking into my bookshelving, running along the tops of high-up things, brushing across the face of my TV etc. Its fronds get into all the niggly little places where you can't get with a duster (or can't be bothered trying).

One defect (as has been pointed out by another user) is that it has a hard end that bangs against walls etc. so be careful not to damage walls or leave marks. But that's a minor point.

It retains the dust, so you need to thoroughly rinse and dry it every so often.

A good product though. Anything that makes housework easier and more fun gets a thumbs-up from me.

I have 12 ft ceilings and have had trouble dusting the coves. This extendable duster gets right in the corners and does a great job!!

I wanted a brush to remove cobwebs high up on lights and ceilings and finally got round to ordering this. I was a bit put off by the gaudy colours but had to give it a go as soon as it arrived and it does the job so well I can live with the colour. It extends to 2m so can reach my victorian house ceilings no problem. I have also found that if you bend the brush (the rod is made to be flexible) it can dust the high shelves in my conservatory and remove the dead flies with out me having to get too close. It is well made and sturdy so I highly recommend it.

This is truly brilliant. The best cleaning product I have ever used. Must keep this review short as I need to get the dusting done whilst my wife is at work!

TOP 100 REVIEWERon 25 April 2013
I have recently moved and now live in a barn conversion so have very high ceilings and lots of old beams which seem to provide cosy homes for spiders. I am so pleased to have found this. I worried that the extending pole would flex in use but it is surprisingly rigid and is easily adjustable to cope with variable ceiling heights. I have been able to reach a window sill perched about 20 feet up as the pole easily bridges the void between the window and the upper landing. The only other way to reach this is to get out our extending ladder - since I am terrified of even modest height I much prefer the duster!

The duster captures the dust effectively and will need an occasional rinse out.

Great for doing the walls but the brush has a hard plastic end so is not useable for ceilings or coving.

Hehe... Before moving into the house I'm in now, I lived in a bungalow. I am very tall, so didn't really need a feather duster to reach the cobwebs. Being in a house with stairs and a landing is a different story though. My ex used to use a rag on the end of the washing line prop, but it is too heavy and unwieldy for me, so I bought my first ever 'feather' duster..... and I love it! It works perfectly and is easy to use, plus is extremely long so you really can reach places that used to be inaccessable. It's also really lightweight.

Being in desperate need of an extendable feather duster (Our cottage has HIGH CEILINGS and COBWEBS) combined with an imminent visit by relatives from California (one of whom is very ''house proud''), I eagerly awaited the arrival of the above and lived in HOPE that this item would simply be, a first class feather duster !! WELL, IT ISN'T ...it is, in FACT, a FABULOUS FEATHER DUSTER !!!!! incredibly user friendly, even to a very short woman like myself, who cannot even reach the top shelf in the kitchen, without something to stand on !! I felt like JACK THE GIANT SLAYER, with a 'reach' like Cassius Clay... The score at the whistle ?? FEATHER DUSTER 10, COBWEBS NIL !! If you desire a Feather Duster with ATTITUDE, run, do not walk, to your nearest computer and order THIS ONE !!!

This is the longest length dust buster I have ever seen and will reach the highest ceilings in ANY home. It is quite sturdy & does the job perfectly. It was requested by my husband, who is fastidious about cleaning high shelves and other areas where small fry such as I can't reach.
In particular I want to praise the seller. When connecting the parts together I noticed a split in a small plastic screw. I reported this, thinking I should be asked to return the screw. The seller responded immediately and promised to send a whole duster replacement, which he did.
It arrived practically by return. The Dust Genie will also be useful to dust away the cobwebs on the outside upper windows, which can be reached easily.
In my experience, (most of my shopping is online), I have never known such service.
