This review is from: Apple iPod nano with Camera 16GB (5th Generation) - Black (Electronics)
I got my Nano as I am sight impared and cant see the screen on any MP3 player. The Nano is the only MP3 player that I am aware of that has the speaking menu option which is fantastic, it tells you every menu option, and which artist/song etc you are playing. It has changed my life not only for listening to music, but I have loads of audio books on mine too. I havent been able to read a book for years, this is a brilliant product!! To enable the speaking menu, just plug your Nano into ITunes, and when you get the main screen come up scroll down and enable the talking menu check box, then follow on screen prompts. Its easy.

I like my new 5th.gen. i pod, great new features which are straight forward to use. However the one gripe I do have is why did they change the connecting slot at the bottom ? It has rendered my recently purchased FM car player useless. Also when I slot into my i pod player at home it no longer recharges the battery, definately a step backwards in my view.

Amazon Tops for iPods,

This review is from: Apple iPod nano with Camera 16GB (5th Generation) - Black (Electronics)
I recently bought a new Apple iPod Nano (16GB, 5th Generation) from Amazon. After trawling the internet for ages trying to find the best price I discovered Amazon had it - cheapest anywhere and the free delivery is very fast! I am delighted with this little gizmo, it does everything promised in spades. I am still amazed that so much can be packed into so little space and I would gladly recommend it to anyone thinking of investing in an MP3 player. Go to Amazon and get an Apple iPod Nano. You know it makes sense.

Great product. But slightly spoiled by the damn EU!,

I carry this sweeet and suave ipod everywhere i go. It fits perfectly into any pocket. Most importantly, the battery life and sound are very good, the clarity is amazing as well as the satisfying easiness of use of the product. However there is one thing about this product if bought in the EU that is like a thorn in my side every time i wish to play some great music on the train. First of all one should note that on the train there is a lot of ambience, which is itself annoying. Secondly i use Beats Studio Headphones with very good noise cancelling and good sound and high volume. This ipod when bought in the EU however makes these train journeys avery day slightly less nice than they could be. ____BEWARE THE 70% VOLUME LIMIT_____ You cannot change it, it is built in and do not be confused with the manual volume limit on the ipod, as i said this is built in! So even with the beats headphones and my ipod at full volume i cannot fully escape the hustle and bustle of the train. I hope you find this helpful so now you can choose whether to buy the product or not with the knowledge that i wish someone had given me. Another note: 8gb is not enough, so if you waant to buy ipod nano 5th do not slip to 8gb. Video camera is cool, but really a battery consumer and in my opinion takes up more space than it is worth; Like all ipods, the space size is a little ambiguous and sly - the size is not 16Gb, but something like 15GB, and that is without all the crap like the pedometer. Otherwise makesure you keep the ipod on hold, it is now my instinct, almost OCD like for me. It greatly increases the running time of the ipod. And like all products with rechargeable batteries, charge it to full the first time because of the memory effect on rechargeable batteries. Good luck, otherwise great product ;)

The latest nano,

The latest nano is excellent. As per normal with apple products, instructions are not the easiest but if you have ayounger member of the family, they soon sort out any little niggles. I have loaded up over 2000 songs and all seems to be working fine. I did have a small problem with the sound not working but apparently, this can occur on rare occasions & i was shown how to reset it. Overall, i am pleased with it.

Absolutely Appalling!,

I have owned various apple products over the last few years and have always been very happy. I have however now owned this 5th gen nano 16gb for just over 1 week and used it at the gym on 2 occassions. It has been kept in a neoprene armband and in the dry area of my kitbag but has totally stopped working. I have submitted it for examination at the 'genius bar' (!!!) who say that the submersion indicator has been activated by water contamination. I have explained how the device has been used and Apple refuse to offer any warranty cover for the product. This device which is clearly sold on the basis of gym use appears totally unfit for purpose, unless of course you are able to exercise without producing any sweat. An absolute disgrace, and looking at the thousands of forum entries with identical problems I am clearly not alone - buyer beware indeed!

I Pod - what do you need to know? It's great, smart but WHY video camera? I would have preferred a still - like the option on my basic three year old phone.

My new Apple Ipod is nice and slim easy to use.Graphics on the screen is very clear,Sound quality is brilliant with Shure SE210 headphones which allows you to hear every instrument on the Ipod. Please note FM Radio work very well, I have not had a chance to use video. From Gary Wellington

This review is from: Apple iPod nano with Camera 16GB (5th Generation) - Black (Electronics)
My first foray into the world of the I pod.(well I am 50).This thing is tiny, much smaller than the pictures of it portray.I am finding the little control wheel to be hard work,it's a right pain when it won't stop where you want, then won't move, then fly's off all of a sudden. I only want it to play music,so not really bothered about camera etc. So for playing music, even through the supplied earphones it is fantastic, what a sound.Family tell me they can hear the music spilling out of the ear phones, not too good for going to work on the train then! May have to invest in better ear phones, other than that I LOVE my little I POD. |
