Working well, easy to load, not for photographic quality prints.

Well made and easy to set up.

Really wanted a A3 scanner and printer but had limited space to keep it. This seemed like a good little printer and so far has been brilliant. I went to the Brother website which has a useful comparison page to allow you to chose the right model for you.
Was quite proud that I managed to set it up to be wireless all on my own (it was a little more complicated than I thought it'd be). It did take about two hours to unpack and set it up, though, but now I've done that, I've had no problems.
I love the scan features. Would recommend it to anyone.

This is a nice machine - it was easy to set up to work wirelessly and print quality is very good. Ink consumption seems to be reasonably economic; the original cartridges supplied with the printer are still going strong.

The automatic document feed for scanning is very useful, but back to back printing is a bit of a fiddle - although in all honesty it is not sold as a duplex machine.

All in all, I am pleased with this, my first Brother printer.
(I wonder why I had always ignored Brother in the past?)

This printer seems to preform well. Easy to set up using cable, not so with the wireless settings (will have to get a teenager to help). Prints well using apparently little ink. Sometimes picks up two sheets of A3 at a time which wastes them, but all-in-all a good printer for the price.

I bought this printer 14 months ago hardly used it and then the Yellow and Magenta both stopped working. The services at Brother said it needed a new printhead and it would cost around £200 to be fixed. Also it would not take the photo paper and would keep jamming even though I tried different makes. If you do go for this printer I would definetly get it insured.

I have used Epson printers for many years, and after this one completely drives me nuts and I throw it out the window I shall be using Epson printers again.
Initial wireless set up was pretty straight forward on both mac & PC but don't whatever you do, don't switch off the power, the gremlins will invade and all settings will disappear.
After 4 or 5 resets I finally gave up on wireless and I moved everything to enable USB connection now it only malfunctions if I want to change the paper tray or use the scanner !!!!

I cannot overstate how many ways this machine can turn a simple job into a pain. Buy an Epson
