5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
Very solidly made, feels like it will last forever (and if it doesn't it has a lifetime manufacturer's guarantee). Focussed beam carries over 200 mtrs and flood setting spreads a perfect even beam over a wide area. Best thing I've bought for ages.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good but over priced compared with Ultrafire and similar HK torches
Received with much anticipation as i have a collection of conventional torches & LED torches from HK but i've been left disappointed.

Even at the discounted price of £30 i feel it isn't value for money :(. It's good don't get me wrong but it isn't head and shoulders above a $13.80 Ultrafire G10 R5 which uses a single 14500 battery.

Pros:

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Hesitate....Buy One!, 22 Oct 2009
This review is from: LED Lenser 7439TP T7 Tactical Light (Test It Pack) (DIY & Tools)
Simply the best torch of it's size on the market today!!! You will not regret your purchase.....this little torch packs small but plays BIG.Quality is what you might expect from a German manufacturer, the supplied case for your belt is far superior to anything you might have had before, it also includes a small Karibina and a wrist lanyard. The flood beam is pure white and has none of the visual inconsistencies you normally get with Maglites, push the light housing forward and the beam narrows to a spot with a range of 711 feet. The whole torch feels reassuringly solid, no rattles or clinks and is a little chunkier than you might think, the 4 AAA batteries are housed in cartridge-like cylinder in a 2+2 formation, so the main body of the torch is a little wider than similarly styled examples but this just adds to the pleasing feel of quality that the T7 simply exudes!Get one mate...!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blown away, 3 Nov 2010

Mr. J. Deane - See all my reviews

Wow - what an amazing product. Spent a few days researching my options and i almost bought the LED Lenser Police Tech Focus. Then i found the P7 which had a higher output for a few pounds more. Received mine today and just took it out in the dark. The output for such a small torch if phenomenal - i can easily see 75 meters down the back of my street. There is quite a big difference between the two output levels. But even on the lower setting it's far better that any of my old maglites (now redundant).

I suppose you should expect something of good quality when spending 35 pounds and sure enough it really is built to last. The nylon holster is also very good. It looks very smart in the presentation box - so it would make a very good present too. I also bought myself a mini version of this (the Led Lenser P3) for my toolbox. It cost around about 13 pounds - it's a bit too big to go on my keys but again - it's very very impressive in all departments.

Overall - i'm highly impressed with both of my Led Lenser purchases and i'd say that if you're in the market for a new torch you should just get one of these and stop looking at anything else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic for the price, 2 Aug 2010
This review is from: LED Lenser 7439TP T7 Tactical Light (Test It Pack) (DIY & Tools)
This torch is a really handy piece of kit. I was using it in a derelict house and when on the hallway went from pitch black to like having a 60 watt bulb this was the whole hallway and not just the area where the beam shone. Be careful with the test it pack which is basically a mirror inside the box which reflects out the beam and a little plastic leaver which pushes the on button. When you do this it shines right into your eyes so you've been warned. The name Test it pack was misleading and I was concerned at this price you would be getting some lower grade item, but was happy to find that it just meant you could test the power of the torch as described above. You get in the pack the torch, with batteries in, wrist strap and torch case also a spare set of batteries and a small black Karabiner.

It's in a different league to mag lights, the pouch will attach to thin or thick belts so I hopefully won't loose this torch like every other I've ever owned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Do your research first, 15 Nov 2009

No doubt this is an excellent torch, and those who are used to normal torches or maglites are in for a shock when you see how bright this is, but there are other alternatives at this price level.

Good points
- Runs on generally available batteries
- Well made
- spot to flood focus very effective
- Blows old maglites out of the water
- supplied with a good quality pouch

Look Elsewhere for
- torches which are both brighter and smaller in this price range (but generally run on lithium CR123A batteries)
- More modes, T7 has 3 levels of brightness (1 of these only available by constantly pressing the switch), some other manufacturers offer more, allowing you to either have extreme brightness or extremely long run time.
- Even more rugged build. Other torches have toughened glass lenses (lenser is plastic i think), extreme waterproofing, better quality (type 3) anodised coating on the body

When choosing, look at manufacturers such as Fenix, Olight, Wolf Eyes, nitecore, there are many high-end flashlight makers.

I have this and a Fenix PD30, I use the fenix more often than not.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic torch, great value, 30 Nov 2010

This review is from: LED Lenser 7439TP T7 Tactical Light (Test It Pack) (DIY & Tools)
The torch is really surprisingly bright and the beam is very nice and uniform at wide focus while at point focus can reach the trees 200m down the far end of the garden.

I was considering one of the slightly larger ones (like the P14) but I am glad I chose this one as it is the largest size you can reasonably fit into a trouser pocket (without the pouch). For dog walking I tend to actually use the lower brightness 'energy saving mode' as that is already bright enough but it's nice to be able to go to full brightness when you're looking for something in the dark. Once I used this torch, I couldn't believe how dark my other (admittably cheaper) LED torches were.

The pouch it comes with is also very good quality and would easily attach to a belt to be carried around but makes it a little bulky if you want to fit it into your pocket in the pouch so I tend to use it just to store it.

Ideal for anyone who does any outdoor activity or does lots of things in the dark and fantastic value for money.
However, if you are just looking for something to very occasionally use to find something in the dark, this is definitely complete overkill and I'd recommend a smaller, cheaper keyring torch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 12 Dec 2010
This review is from: LED Lenser 7439TP T7 Tactical Light (Test It Pack) (DIY & Tools)
This torch is quite simply the best. I am already the proud owner of a LED Lenser Police Tech Focus but decided to upgrade to the T7, which is packing an extra 95 lumens. The power out of this torch is something which you have to see to believe, but luckily it does have two brightness settings for those occasions when you don't need such a powerful light.
The focus mechanism is easier and faster to use than on the Police Tech, as the head moves up and down rather than twisting side to side.

Overall, the best torch you can buy. I can see it living up to it's lifetime guarantee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Led Lenser, 5 Nov 2010
This review is from: LED Lenser 7439TP T7 Tactical Light (Test It Pack) (DIY & Tools)
The T7 Led Lenser is the best torch I have ever owned, the light is so bright when you adjust the focus onto spot and the distance it covers is really good.I bought this torch to use during the night shift as a police officer, it fits perfectly on your utility belt and now found the old mag light out of a job and in the back of the cupboard.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good but over priced compared with Ultrafire and similar HK torches, 16 Dec 2011

Pros:
1. The single handed zoom to spot is very good
2. Handles well and feels chunky
3. Battery life seems impressive even using high output for extended periods

Cons:
1. Barely out performs the light output a torch costing a 3rd less (price i paid, often more expensive at nearer £40), £30 vs £9 delivered from HK
2. Need to use none rechargeable batteries to get the best from it (1.5v vs 1.2v rechargeable reduces light output)
3. Possibly too big vs light output

I can only assume that a lot of the positive reviews are users who have upgraded from Maglites and are amazed at the difference (i have several Maglites myself inc 6d, 5c, 3d, 2d, 2aa, 2aaa) and rightly so, but really they are overpriced.

5.0 out of 5 stars Massive torch power from tiny torch practicality, 14 Nov 2011
This review is from: LED Lenser 7439TP T7 Tactical Light (Test It Pack) (DIY & Tools)
Having been a bit disbelieving of previous reviews I decided to order this with a little aprehension, but I have to say how mistaken I was. It gives amazing power from somthing that fits snuggly into the palm of a hand. When out walking with a large 'C' or 'D' cell torch, stowing it away can be a bit of a problem. I usualy end up trying to put it in a pocket (where it invariably falls out), but then they feel cold against the adjoining part of the body. With the T7 this isn't a problem. The pouch provided is excelent or placed on a belt tie with the hanger, which is also provided.

What hasn't been made clear in some reviews is that to get the full 220lumens of power you have to hold the power button on the end of the torch. The first click gives 200lumens and the next 150. However for general walking about the low power mode is fine and about as powerfull as most decent torches anyway. When a more power is needed I hold the power button, it's that simple.

My other torch is a Duracell Trubrite 'C' cell torch and this beats it hands down.
