5.0 out of 5 stars Sunerian Cry
I origanally bought this on vinyl, loved it, it had Lyrics included. Then i bought the Firt Released cd, which was great, except no Lyrics included and a rather boring cover. This is my Fav Album, it is raw sounding and a great ambience feel to it. I am pleased it has been re-released, with the original Cover. I will be buying it and I really hope the Lyrics are included...

3.0 out of 5 stars Back to basics
Tiamat's first album is quite different to their newer gothic rock. This from 1990 is quite rudimentary death/black metal, and the picture of Johan shows him in black-metal spikes and pose.
It has it's appeal with it's blunt no-frills approach, although the intro track hints at the lush dreamlike territory Tiamat were headed towards.Just don't expect Morbid Angel like...

The original cover design has been replaced with the old Tiamat bat wing logo on a white background whereas the original sported a picture of a pack of wolves at the bottom of some forest steps leading to a mountain.I imagine they thought it immature and not fitting with Tiamat's later image, but the original picture gives a insight into the background and aesthetics of the scene they came from, and I would have loved to seen it here.

Yay,at last they reissued this album with the original cover art.The music is not Tiamat's best but is still an interesting listen if just to see how they developed from their basic death/black metal roots.I'm chuffed that the original cover art is back and may have to buy the cd again for that alone!
