Unfortunately, although i believe that the phone had a lot of potential, this one was sold to me defective and i haven't had any redress.
The phone was still locked - not sim free as claimed - and every now and then it turns itself off as an incoming call is ringing.
Am very disappointed with this purchase, have contacted the seller and Amazon,to no avail.
I WOULD be very careful with purchases from the Market Place

I've owned a Flip for over a year, it is the first phone that I've not replaced at the end of the 12 month contract.

Good Points: Small size; Great keypad; Personally I like Sure Type; Tough & well made; Intuitive operating system, Great for EMail & messaging.

Bad Points: Picture quality could be better although this may be due to the dust accumulated on and in the lens; Internet browsing does work but the screen is small; No 3G; No GPS; Blackberry Apps not in the same league as iphone.

Conclusion: A solid, dependable work phone.

An absoolute joy to own, despite a few teething problems getting familarised with qwerty keyboard on phone. Still learning all of it's capabilities, overall delighted with my first Blackberry, much more fun than I expected as well as a first class cellphone. Only reservation how the the trackball will fare.

Hi, well when 1st brought the flip as sim free, i couldn't use it at all as o2 didn't surpport it, had loads of problems as it's german stock with t-mobile, had to change it to english, reset the edge gprs etc, this was done when o2 was in the picture. Its ok till now, i do up to 3000 text's, nearly 1 gig on the web, picture msg etc each month!, the only thing needed when you buy this, is to upgrde it straight away as it had the habit to crash on the web from start up, easy fix, done via blackberry links/desktop, but i 'worn' out the track ball which been fix (new part) but not right so refit is due.
Picture taking ok but dont it like 'jig'style pictures, web ok (better than o2broadband)have link all my email addreses with the fone, the 'suretext' is good, im mutitap person but soon got use to it.
Down side it's early blackberry but can be up dated, not anough app's, too pc style, need's a larger screen and the 'trackball' need i say more??
Well i got two blackberrys, just might upgrade 8120 to another 8220 the ideal moto V3 replacement

First thoughts - what a great phone etc.. However, once in use, oh dear!!
1. I've lost the bluetooth capabilities (search the net as I did and find how many others have the same problem that no-one wants to solve!).
2. The alarms on the calendar are intermittent so don't assume that an important appointment will warn you despite having set an alarm.
3. The battery needs recharging every 2 days or so even if you hardly use the phone.
4. You CANNOT send a picture with your text message. You can only email one (additional costs on all networks of course)
One final thing. Don't click the trackerball to accept any entry you have made as it often flips to the cancel option and you loose everything you've just entered - Use the return key (bottom right).
On the plus side - good volume etc

On receiving my phone my first thoughts were for the money that I have paid for this phone the quality appears cheap. I find this phone difficult to use compared to my other phones.

Nice design. Good for the money. Buttons feel very plastic though.
I sold it since I could not use blackberry service without a 24 months plans.

I found this phone to be really great for all my needs. Being slightly hard of hearing the quality of the sound and volume was a definite plus. It is also very easy to navigate and use. The only minus I found is that the battery life is very short. I have to re-charge about every two to three days even though I am not using it a lot.

I order a phone get an email saying it has been dispatched. I then send two emails asking where it is and get no response and then out of the blue today I get a full refund.

What the hell is going on; this must be the worst seller I have encountered on Amazon and I can see why when you read the negative feedback on them. Total rubbish.
