5.0 out of 5 stars Tractor - 'Before, During And After The Dandelion Years.... (Ozit)
Very nice compilation of tunes from this long-running UK underground psych duo, includes some super-rare as well as unreleased material. In recent years, they've reunited to play some live gigs in and around their home turf. 5.0 out of 5 stars Tractor - 'Before, During And After The Dandelion Years.... (Ozit), 9 Sep 2007
Very nice compilation of tunes from this long-running UK underground psych duo, includes some super-rare as well as unreleased material. In recent years, they've reunited to play some live gigs in and around their home turf. Tracks that made an impression on me were "Jester", the Pink Floyd-ish "Circuits Drawn", "Steve's Hungarian Novel", "Watching White Stars", the freak flag anthem "About Yourself" and "It's Got To Be Right". The folk-like "Who I Am" isn't bad either. Then there's a four-song segment that was recorded at a Deeply Vale festival setting, "Bring What You Expect To Find", "Drilling Hundreds", the jamming "Little Girl In Yellow" and "Sarcastic Bastard" round out this must-have CD release. Will most likely draw in loyal followers of Hawkwind, Deviants, Monster Magnet, maybe even Caravan or even the Pretty Things. Essential.
