DON'T, DON'T, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Eagerly anticipated, but generally a disappointment - the Marshall Mathers LP in a nutshell. Although there are some very good songs on it, the real slim shady, stan, criminal etc, this albumn doesn't really compare to eminem's first contribution. Although shock value initially brought him fame eminem has to realise that merely being more shocking does not make this albumn better. It is by no means a bad albumn - it's probably the best rap albumn of the year - but it doesn't have that edge of brilliance that made the first albumn so good. Buy this if you want flawlessly produced, big budget white trash rap, but make sure you get the first one too because otherwise you'll be missing out.
