I am not a huge Clapton fan and prefer Bert Jansch , Ry Cooder and Stephen Stills . Since I am not convinced of his divinity but needed him in my collection , I went for this compilation . It is ideal . There are some dud tracks - the insufferable Layla crops up yet again ( how this can be a rock classic when the vocal comes from inside a cardboard box is beyond me ) as does the vomit inducing Wonderful Tonight . Still this is why the real God invented the skip button on the remote . The other tracks are fine and include Cream's best numbers . For the Clapton nut a poor buy but for me just right . I doubt if I will play it very much though .

Very good compilation of Clapton's early classics. One of the best compilations there is. Some real gems such as the eight listed below.

1. Layla - The Ultimate guitar track ..plugged or unplugged
3. I Feel Free
4. Sunshine Of Your Love
6. Strange Brew
10. Swing Low Sweet Chariot -Good to hear when England are winning a match
11. Lay Down Sally
12. Knockin' On Heaven's Door - covered by Guns N Roses; figures in ending of Lethal Weapon2
13. Wonderful Tonight - A classic slow featured in many love compilations
