An irresistible mix of the enthusiasm and naivete of youth, "Clear Blue Sky" consists of nearly forty minutes of flawed but captivating guitar rock. "Journey To The Inside Of The Sun", a three-part song, occupies the first half of the album. It's a gloriously wayward, riff-laden, fuzz-drenched excursion punctuated by the occasional effects pedal and blighted by a slightly suspect production. The flaws are part of the appeal, even the element of over-ambition.
"You Mystify" and "Tool Of My Trade" are similar in style but strong pieces in their own right. "My Heaven" is the best song, softer, beguiling and hypnotic until let off its lead toward the end. "Birdcatcher" is different again, featuring a jazz-inflected flute that marks it out from the other tracks. It's a shame that this then teenage band didn't get the opportunity to develop a longer recording career.

Another gem from a golden age in rock music.Raw but with a maturity that belies their ages, these boys made an album that still stand the test of time.

Yeah, this was a band that 'may have got lucky' and signed up for vertigo records in the early seventies amongst some other rock giants on that same label but boy did they give it a go!!
This album is raw, intelligent and diverse in its content but holds you simply because its got balls, grit, determined youthful aggressive attitude and fire in its belly. Pour a beer, sit down (maybe not, standings better you might want to move around a bit) and enjoy a really honest lively album. It won't be your last listen, you will definitely come back again. It grows too! Excellent!
