4.0 out of 5 stars A GOOD FOLLOW UP TO A TRUELY GREAT DEBUT ALBUM!, 11 Aug. 2000
By A Customer
The adjectives 'dark' and 'moody' are those most oft employed when describing Crowded House's second album. The darker shadows and closets of the Crowded house are quite apparent in such Finn numbers as 'sister madly' and 'kill eye', but gorgeous melodies like 'better be home soon' and 'never be the same' are worthy competitors to 'dont dream its over'(Crowded House) and 'fall at your feet'(Woodface) as Neil Finns finest work. On the whole it just falls short of the glory of Crowded House's debut self titled album, never the less this is still a very worthy album and a must buy for anyone who wants to treat themselves to superb songwriting and magical melodies. The best is yet to come!
