5.0 out of 5 stars Wow they done the Job!! :)
I'm 23 years old I've been with my partner for 7yrs and also been on the pill for about 8-9years.
We decided that it was time for me to come off the pill and try for a baby, I had alot of doubt in my mind about me getting pregnant because I've been on the pill for so long I stopped taking the pill in June and started My first pack of pregnacare, I finished that pack...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me...
Firstly I would like to say that I am not here to rubbish the pregnacare brand as a whole. I took pregnacare plus throughout my last pregnancy and had no problems whatsoever, in fact I had a healthy 10lb baby boy who has thrived since he was born with barley any illnesses apart from the odd sniffle & I honestly attribute some of that to pregnacare. My husband also took...

1.0 out of 5 stars Side-effects: False Pregnancy Symptoms,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)I was taking Pregnacare Plus through all my first pregnancy (starting from the positive test result) and Pregnacare Breast-Feeding and New Mum for two years while I was breastfeeding. Everything was fine - I'm happy with both products. (I was taking generic folic acid from Boots for some months before I got pregnant.)
Now we are trying for the second one and I started taking Pregnacare Conception as I had such a good experience with this brand. It seems I belong to the group of woman for whom this formula doesn't work. I'm in good health, in stable mind, and I rare have any problems with stomach, sleep, or whatsoever. General medications normally work fine for me.
I was taking Pregnacare Conception for 20 days before ditching them. From the 5th day of taking the tablets (strictly on full stomach) I started to experience pregnancy symptoms. It started from light nausea some days after the day I thought I was ovulating. By the time my period were due the symptoms gradually grew to the whole set I had during my first pregnancy - nausea, insomnia, unexplained tiredness, abdominal cramps close to periods, getting too emotional, metallic taste in my mouth, frequent urination (the tablets also make urine abnormally yellow), change of taste and lost of appetite. These were exactly the symptoms I had when I was early-pregnant with my first child. ( I didn't have painful breast this time - the only symptom missing.)
I was so nauseous one night around time my periods were due that I had to get up and eat an apple before returning to sleep. I was 100% sure that I'm pregnant when I took a test the following morning. The result was negative, so I started to investigate what is wrong with me. I remembered that some women talked about side effects in their reviews, so I researched and realised that I'm probably just intoxicated with this formula.
I ditched these tablets straight away and spent too days taking actions I normally do when I detox from food-poisoning (water-n-apples diet). I feel my normal way now. My periods started a bit later than I expected but within the window my cycle fluctuates (26-30 days).
I didn't have any recent changes in my lifestyle or diet (apart of doubled sex around ovulation time and taking Pregnacare Conception tablets). I haven't been on contraceptives pills for a decade, I wasn't ill for the last months, I didn't fly recently - I don't see any reasons to disturb the progress of my cycle. I cannot blame the "stress" either - it's our first month trying and I didn't put much hope to get there so soon.
I don't know what caused such a reaction from my body, but the last two weeks were a sickness nightmare. May be something was wrong with this particular batch (BN PHH1304N MFT 10 2012), I don't know. The only positive thing was losing a couple of kilograms as I couldn't look at food. Now I'm going natural plus folic acid as I did for my first child.
I'm sorry for a long review, I just wanted to put my frustration to something useful by contributing to the general knowledge about this product's side effects.

1.0 out of 5 stars Had the opposite effect!!!,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)I don't understand how the company can say that there are no side effects to this product when there are so many people reporting that they've had them! I took the tablets for 2 months and in that time they completely messed my cycle up! I was tracking my cycle every day and i know it off my heart then when i started taking these it went all over the place. My periods were further apart and when i got my period it was heavier than it's ever been before and lasted much longer! My periods have always lasted 5 days without fail and when i started taking these one of my periods was 9 days long and was heavy the entire time! All the skeptics will say 'your periods messed up cause you were TTC' but that is definitely not true as i was TTC before i started taking these and my periods were normal. it was definintely the tablets! when i realised what the tablets were doing to me i stopped taking them and it took a couple of months for my periods to go back to normal. thank god they did though and thank god i stopped taking them! the last thing you need when TTC is a unpredictable cycle and that's all you'll get from these tablets! I would recommend just taking a folic acid supplement instead, stay away from these!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow...,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)I never write reviews but have made an exception here!
I started taking pregnacare conception after a friend recommended them.
My partner & I tried for only 1 month to get pregnant with only half of the box of vitamins taken. We were shocked but delighted to find we were pregnant so quickly!
Not sure if its a mix between luck, the vitamins or both but it worked for us :)
The only thing I changed was to take the tablets before bed as they made me slightly dizzy. Apart from that & luminous pee, would highly reccomend trying! Good luck :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Be aware,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)I tried these tablets a couple of months ago and boy do I wish I had done my 'research' online first. I read all the amazing positive reviews on amazon and infact my sister-in-law took them just before she got pregnant- so I thought these MUST work. I bought 3 packs for the price of 2 at our local supermarket and went ahead and used them. I didnt feel any differently on them, but after the first month AF just wouldnt show. I was also using the CBFM and no ovulation peak. It worried me because my cycles have always been between 30-35 days and this was waaay past that. But I thought maybe my hormones are balancing themselves out or something. So I carried on the next month- still no AF. Late in the second month AF came- but it was the most bizarre one Ive had. I dont want to go into detail but I knew for a fact it was AF but it wasnt normal at all. The reason why I stopped taking the tablets at this point was because for at least three weeks before that wierd AF showed up (and it was not IB at all, did the hundreds of tests etc)I was getting all the pregnancy symptoms, strange lower ab cramping where my uterus is, achy boobs, horrendous back pain, I was going to the loo 20 times a day for heaven's sake. The strange pulling pain in the uterine area was so unusual for me, it honestly felt like it was trying to make room for something. I could have sworn that I was pregnant. I tell you the horrible emotional roller coaster I went through because of that was just cruel. I kept thinking could it have been a chemical pregnancy, but AF was just too heavy to be IB and too light to be my normal AF- sorry for tmi. I know its worked for plenty of women, but after I got online and researched the not so great effects of pregnacare conception I found that there is a group of women who have had horrible experiences on it. Periods delayed or stopped, strange pregnancy like symptoms but negative tests. I ended up having 2 wierd periods in four months with no ovulation- thats four months wasted and has never ever happened to me before. The only thing I had done differently was take pregancare conception Its heartbreaking to say the least and the last thing you need when ttc. If you really must try it- try a months packet first. If AF is late I would get the heck off it. You dont want to delay your AF and then mess up consecutive cycles which is what has happened to me. Be very cautious, do your research and listen to your body ladies. Good luck to you all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lengthened my cycle and ovulated late!,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)I started taking Pregnacare Conception this cycle. My cycles for the past 2 years have been 28-31 days like clockwork and I usually ovulate around cycle day 14-16. I took pregnacare and I didn't ovulate until day 20 and I'm on day 37 and still no period and I'm definetly not pregnant!!
This is the only thing I can say i did differently so my lengthened cycle must be down to these vitamins....not good when your trying for a baby; who wants to wait longer in the two week wait or be lulled into thinking your pregnant because your period is late only to see negatives on pregnancy tests??!!
I will never take these vitamins again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Try it...you might be lucky!,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)After just under a year of TTC second time around, DH and I were starting to feel disillusioned that maybe we'd left it too late. We agreed to try everything out there on the market before resorting to the NHS for investigative testing. So after much research I decided to try Pregnacare Conception and Toni Weschler's book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. The Pregnacare arrived the day after ordering (half way through my cycle)so I started taking them immediately. I'd umm'd and ahh'd about spending the money on the Pregnacare as I was already taking the recommended folic acid - I know £9.50 is not a fortune but as for everyone at the moment money is tight and we have to watch every penny. My justification was what price a new baby? I began following Toni Weschler's advice on day one of my next cycle and started my second pack of Pregnacare Conception on about day 10. By day 36 I started to feel that familiar excitement and slight disbelief that my period still hadn't materialised so I send DH off to buy a test. Couldn't quite believe it when those gorgeous two lines appeared. I am now 22 weeks pregnant and don't know if it was the Pregnacare Conception, Toni's charting technique or just nature, but i can only emphasize to anyone in my position who is desperate to conceive to give Pregnacare a go, or better still invest in both Pregnacare and Toni's book and see what happens! Hope this review helps someone out there - good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked first month!,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)We had been trying for a baby for a few months and after one chemical pregnancy, a few negatives and the fact that I am 39 I decided to give these a go. Whilst taking these I felt healthier and my nails are longer than they've ever been! Anyway, not sure if it was just coincidnce but we are pregnant on the first month of trying these hence the 5 stars. Give these a go, you never know!

Bought pregnacare conception 3 for 2 so not too expensive. Took first month no unusual side effects, on second packet at mo and have positive pregnancy test! So over the moon, unsure whether these are the reason but def worth a try!

5.0 out of 5 stars So shocked how well they worked,
This review is from: Vitabiotics Pregnacare Conception Tablets 30 Tablets (Personal Care)I have been TTC for about 18-20 months after having the depo shot and my body not returning to normal. I took these for 2 months and I conceived (they increased my Cervical mucus, sorry for too much info but anyone trying will understand). Unfortunately it ended in mis-carriage, but the tablets have confirmed this can happen and they definitely helped it happen. Strongly recommended! :)
