5.0 out of 5 stars THANK YOU EMI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 3 Aug. 2002

Finally EMI releases an Ike and Tina Turner compilation that does not contain the biggest hits of the duo. Ike and Tina Turner compilations are released on a regular basis, but this must be the most interesting Ike and Tina Turner CD released by EMI since the release of "Proud Mary- the best of..." in 1991.
This Cd features tracks from the Ike and Tina Turner albums Come Together (1969), Nuff Said (1971), Feel Good (1972), Let Me touch Your mind (1972), Workin Together (1971) and Acid Queen (1975).
This album gives people the chance to discover some of the forgotten treasures recorded by one of the hottest duos in black soul music.
It also demonstrates that Tina Turner wrote a lot of other great songs beside the classic Nutbush City Limits. 6 Tracks on this cd were written by Tina Turner.
I just hope all the original albums will be finally released on Cd by EMI. This compilation is at least a step in the right direction....

Pure funk from start to finish.
I defy anyone listening to this not to have an overwhelming desire to shake their booty.
I particularly love the cover of Whole lotta love.
Great CD!

4.0 out of 5 stars Raw & Funky, 25 Aug. 2006
This is an antidote to the rather formulaic Tina Turner of the 80's and 90's. The sound of Ike's dirty guitar drives the music along with Tina wailing away - superb soul singing.
