5.0 out of 5 stars Pulling off my panels!
Great tool. This tool will save your door cards! This has fitted in so far with 70s' and 80s' era VW panels and also 60s' Yank Door cards. Very easy to use and seems to be robust. I dropped it at least twice and threw it in my toolbox and it still lives. Very good value for money. If like me you normally use a screwdriver and ruin your interior in the process, dont, buy...

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit rough
The head is very rough. If you slid this down between your painted door and the door card, you'd lift paint without doubt.

The pictures suggest it is smooth, but it isn't.

It is good once you have opened a gap up and simply want to pry with it.

It was also very cheap which saved it from getting 1 star or something.

Think of it...

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect tool for my vw Campervan, 16 Sept. 2011
This review is from: Door car trim & upholstery remover - clip prying tool (Automotive)
I bought this for my VW Campervan. I planned on using it for the Cab door card even though it's not a VW specific tool. It worked perfectly!

I bought is as i wanted to replace the window regulator on my audi a4, this tool helped me in every way possible it made getting the door card off as easy as 123, the only drawback is that the tool itself is made of metal and i was unable to use it on the interior door trim, but to get the clips away from the door card this tool is a must!

This is a very handy tool to have for removing trim and upholstery clips/buttons from your car.

I used it for removing four clips from under my two front seats,to allow me to change the backing on front seats. It worked well.It is strong, well made.Even if you only use it once, for under 2 quid, its as cheap as chips!

Well made & professionally robust tool.
Easy to use - without causing those plastic trim fixers to break & find that you cannot find an exact replacement!!
I recommend as a minimum tool to have in your DIY kit!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and cheeful, 4 Nov. 2013

Cheap and cheerful, Stated on retail packet that is was chrome vanadium....I think NOT...but not in the description on Amazon also the ends of the tool were very rough and quite thick, which could have scratched the car paint work when in use. However, a quick tidy up and with a metal file was all that was needed to make it acceptable. The handle seems cheap but acceptable, I feel it might shatter if dropped to many times. Bearing in mind the price I think Its great value for money Considering the car trim clips are £1.00 each, this has paid for itself already as I have a habit of breaking these clips whenever I even look at a trim panel........

As with 90% of very cheap, simple products (see the guitar hanger and the tiny keychain knife in my reviews) this is another one of those items that are perfectly useful and workable PROVIDED you are handy and can do a few small jobs of fettling with them - in this case, you'll need a fresh, sharp blade on a craft knife to shave off the two sharp casting lines on the handle, and then a decent file / grinding wheel / grinding stone to grind off the VERY rough edges left by the cutting process of the gap on the underside.of the head - a couple of minutes spent doing this will save you from scratched paintwork or torn upholstery later on.
