4.0 out of 5 stars A must for anyone undertaking C+G 236 Elec Installation
It is simply written and easy to follow and will guide through the theoretical stages of the course. It proved to be invaluable for part two of the course giving clear explainations of all required subjects. It is the only textbook you will need.

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit out of date
The copy that I bought (Dec 2004) seemed surprisingly out of date. Within half an hour of browsing, I noticed several points which would have been out of date when the edition was published in 2002. Maybe the May 2005 edition will put a few of these things straight...
I was also hoping for more practical installation advise than is contained in this book...

2.0 out of 5 stars A diificult book to work through for a DIY'er, 3 July 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Although the knowledge structure is set out clearly into chapters, and it has valuable line illustrations with typical technical texts. I found it disappointing and failed to deliver knowledge I much wanted to know. If only the text could read like a conversation or novel explaining the all important electrical concepts, then I would be gripped to read through all the chapters; instead its a dictionary or guide book of facts and figures - boring. There are no photos. Its a very heavy book in weight to cart about on a coarse and its not A4 format or wire bound, beware of any loose pages - but it is a useful book!

5.0 out of 5 stars 2365 Electrical Installation, 9 Oct. 2012

This book is written in the older style when you learnt the subject and not just covered it. It is an older text book that will probably not reference across to current regulations, but it has an abundance of electrical theory that has lots of worked examples that will definitely help with understanding the maths of an Electrician. If you combine this book with more up to date text books you will be able to glide through the maths of both level 2 and 3 of both the 2365 and 2357 without problem. Considering what you can pick this book up for second hand it's a great book to have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive, concise - worth a look, 19 Feb. 2008
I am currently taking my 2330 Level 3 and still refer to this book as it is concise. I have found that there is no one book that covers the 2330 courses well in its entirety. For level 2 I used trevor linsleys basic, heinemann books (books 1& 2 loads of errors but good for pics) and this one. For level 3 I use Trevor Linsleys advanced , this one , and heinemann Level3 & NVQ is good especially the picture side but too big for bedtime reading (sad I know)..
Yes this may look old hat but still a good book all the same.
