This is a wonderful skeleton pocket watch. The rhodium plating has a lovely shine that I would describe as nearer platinum than white gold or silver. There is an engraved swirling pattern over most of the front and back face flat surfaces. The outer edge is rounded and has a milling or reeding similar to a pound coin, but more obvious and much neater and precise.
The skeleton movement looks great, with purple jewel movements and sets of blue anodized screws (see the images that I've uploaded for more detail). Every component is a silver metal colour, except the main clockwork element which is a gold colour. The hands are reasonably ornate and black so that they stand out from the background.
The case is made of a light-coloured wood polished nicely and rounded at the edges on the lid. The inside of the box is filled with a cream leatherette material with Bernex in a gold print in the lid. It feels like good quality and works well with the watch. The only shame is that the fitting that the watch itself sits in is made of a felt coated plastic, which seems like the only cheap part of the entire product. Bit of a shame, but presumably done to get an accurate moulding for the watch to sit in safely. There is also a channel for a chain to run in if you add a chain to your watch (no chain is supplied).
Overall a lovely looking pocket watch that looks great from all angles and at all times of day.
