4.0 out of 5 stars Well built, easy assembly and good features
Superb treadmill which appears to be very well built and assembled in about 30mins. Good variation of programs and an excellent top speed with the ability of a good incline. The only downside is the hand held pulse seems to be way out and I bought the chest strap and that doesn't seem to be giving any sort of decent reading either but that could well be "user...

I don't normally take the time to review purchases but this is an exception.

I bought this treadmill in Jan 2010 after reading mostly positive reviews and although I was concerned by the low price for such high level specs, I took the plunge.
Since then I have had the engineer out 5 times. In that time I have had 3 motors, 2 boards, 2 belts and a new...

Superb treadmill which appears to be very well built and assembled in about 30mins. Good variation of programs and an excellent top speed with the ability of a good incline. The only downside is the hand held pulse seems to be way out and I bought the chest strap and that doesn't seem to be giving any sort of decent reading either but that could well be "user error!"

Would recommend this product to anybody who is serious about using it on a regular basis, if it's going to be occasional use only then you could probably get away with a less expensive model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid peice of kit., 14 July 2010
This review is from: York T302 Treadmill (Sports)
For a piece of home gym equipment, this treadmill is very robust and has a good selection of programs. My partner and I have had it several weeks and are still impressed with, and glad we purchased this treadmill. The built in mp3 speakers are a handy addition. They lack some bass but you can still have your tunes while listening for the doorbell/phone while training.
However, I would suggest two things to consider before your purchase. The first is this item needs to be lubricated every so often. I was not aware of this but it's only a five minute job so I don't see it as a problem, others may. Also because this is such a solid piece of equipment it is very heavy (130+ kilos). It took three of us an hour to get it down the stairs into my basement. Think about where it is going to go before you order it.
Other than this it is a very good piece of equipment and would I heartily recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy, 13 Oct 2010
This review is from: York T302 Treadmill (Sports)
I did have some problems with my treadmill on delivery. I couldnt put it together as one of the arms was faulty and i was unable to bolt it together. I phoned the York helpline and they sent out a new arm which took about aweek and then a day later one of there engineers came to fit it. I was very dissapointed that i was unable to use it for over a week but once i had it up and running i love it. Very sturdy loads of good features and lots of different programes to choose from and pretty quiet. As long as you have pleny of space for it as it is quite big and heavy.but very well made. Looked at quite a few prices for this item but Amazon was the best deal by a long way. Great value and great product...

1.0 out of 5 stars Quantity not Quality, 8 Dec 2010
This review is from: York T302 Treadmill (Sports)
I don't normally take the time to review purchases but this is an exception.

I bought this treadmill in Jan 2010 after reading mostly positive reviews and although I was concerned by the low price for such high level specs, I took the plunge.
Since then I have had the engineer out 5 times. In that time I have had 3 motors, 2 boards, 2 belts and a new circuit board. I had the original machine replaced and within 3 weeks it had broken down again. I followed the engineers maintenance recommendations and applied top grade lubricant every 3 weeks but it still regulary brokedown. In the 8 months I owned the York T302 it was not operational for over 3 months.
Now for the record I'm 6ft 4" and 17st and run full and half marathons and wanted the machine to supplement my road training in the lovely british winter.
According to York it is sufficient for runners up to 25st however my experience is that it is not fit for purpose for anyone over 15st. If you are small and light and don't intend to use it daily then it may well be suitable, however if you are heavier and intend on daily sessions then I would stay away from this treadmill. It has good features however the measley 12 month warrenty on the parts should show you the confidence they have in its quality.

I have now purchased a Spirit XT675 and although it's twice the price, you definitely get what you pay for!

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't praise this machine enough!, 13 May 2012
This review is from: York T302 Treadmill (Sports)
I've had this treadmill for 3 years now and not once has it failed to perform.

The pros:

- Runs smoothly and fairly quietly.
- This machine can easily handle anyone up to 22 stones.
- Has multiple programs.
- You can customise programmes to suit your level of fitness/the duration of the workout/speed and incline.
- I love the fact that I can connect it to my mp3 player or my phone and watch movies as I workout.
- It doesn't take up much space as it can be folded.
- It's aesthetically pleasing to the eye :)
- It's a heavy duty and very sturdy. Some treadmills have narrow belts but this machine offers very good leg space.

The "cons":

- It's a heavy machine, so be sure to get some help in assembling it - but in general, that can be said about most treadmills!

All in all, this treadmill was worth every single penny and more. I couldn't live without it now; a truly great investment!

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Service, 29 Sep 2010
This review is from: York T302 Treadmill (Sports)
When this product was delivered, it was not what I had ordered, an item had been sent which was 1/4 of the price of the one I had ordered, it took me about 20 phone calls and 20 e mails to actually have the item collected, I was told several times it would be collected on a certain day and it was not, I would not order anything else from amazon that I could not take to the post office and return myself, I know mistakes happen but high value items should be checked, I don`t know if the collection problem was with amazon or the carrier company, but it is frustrating not being able to speak to the delivery company to find out what is happening, at the end of the day amazon have lost out as I have now ordered from another company which have given me a much better service
