This toy sucks - oh wait, no it doesn't, 11 Oct 2009

The motor goes around but there is NO suction... and it is supposed to have suction (why would they go to the effort of putting in motors etc.?) A friend of mine had one that worked fine, I think it's a bit hit and miss as to wether you get one that works.
I, for one, will be sending it back, and I'll keep sending it back until I get one that works, otherwise what's the point?

Unused desktop Henry, 8 Aug 2010

I was thrilled when I bought desktop Henry as I thought it would help untidy prople in my home to keep the computer area clean. Sadly our Henry failed its purpose. It did not suck up any thing at all. We consider it just a novelty for ornamental presentation on the desk but definitely not a functional appliance.

Don't buy it, it doesn't work, it just makes loads of noise and it will MAYBE pick up a tiny bit of dust after you go over it 100 times (I guess you end up moving it yourself rather than the thing hoovering it)
A waste of money

Excellent product! The cutest desktop hoover I have ever seen. It even has interchangeable hoover nozzles! Not the most powerful hoover, but it does pickup crumbs and spilt sugar etc. Available on lots of websites and some a lot cheaper!

Great novelty item - especially the new version, 24 Nov 2009

Received this from Amazon today and it is the new version that promises Improved performance and takes 3xAA batteries. A bit miffed as to why poor Henry was placed in the box the wrong way round (his back towards the front of the box), I eagerly opened the box to try him out. All the tools are concealed under his lid and this takes a bit of force to remove the first time.
This new version also includes a crevice tool!, for those "hard to reach areas". Not that I will be doing much vacuuming with it though, as others have noted even the new version suffers from poor perfomance, and this is the same whether using cheap Poundland batteries, Duracells or 2700mAh rechargeables, and although performance does increase slightly as the batteries are changed in that order, you aren't going to want to sell your full vacuum just yet. But, you knew that right? What you are going to want to do though is reach for your new toy everytime you eat at your desk or discover your equipment is a bit dusty!
Providing you take this item for what it is - a novelty, a joke, a fantastic gift for just about anyone, you can't go wrong with a desk Henry.

Literally doesn't even move a very small feather with its non-existant sucking efforts. Completely rubbish.

Nice Idea, 5 Aug 2010

This package arrived well wrapped and protected in the standard Amazon cardboard packaging.
This product came with a range of pipes which can be attached to the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner to complete different tasks. On turning the cleaner on, the product produced a lot of noise, yet did not suck up much, only a small clump of dust only just bigger than a pin head.
Trying all the pipes in different orders still did not work, with the product still showing very little suction. I have not however, sent this item back. Even though it's useless, it's still a nice item to have on your desk, albeit an expensive one.
If you want a desktop vacuum cleaner, from experience, look elsewhere, but if you want a pretty addition to your work desk to lighten it up that attracts your inquisitive work colleagues, look no further.
