4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent first release
Dirty, bluesy, trashy, infections good old boogie debut release from this Northern Ireland based five piece. Some great storming tracks here - "Living in the City", "Give it All", "International Anthem" and a few slower numbers "The Last Icon" which builds to a real heads-down blitzkreig. Singer Phil sounds uncannily like a later years Bon Scott! M$R have come up with a...

3.0 out of 5 stars A Solid First Outing
This is a good first effort by a band that has plenty of potential. "Travel", "In The City" and the "The Last Icon" are the standout tracks. If the rest of the album followed this level of quality it would be right up there as one of the best rock debuts ever. Sadly, the other songs all feel a bit average, and filler material.

There's a very talented band in...

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock Anthems of a Degeneration, 2 Nov. 2009
This review is from: ANTHEMS OF A DEGENERATION (Audio CD)
Absolutely excellent first outing from this bunch on Northern Ireland Rockers, the entire Album is really well produced and thought out. Musically could be a mixture of elements of G'n'R, Aerosmith, Motley Crue bit of Buckcherry. The sound is definately sleazy & dirty.

The singer Phil Conalane has an excellent voice and the rest of the band are musically tight as a drum. If this album was released around '87 these guys would be megastars. The highlights include livin' in the city, tattoos and dirty girls, you can't stop me from flying although there are no weak numbers.

This is definately a throwback to the glory days of good time rock music, you definately won't be disappointed if your into any of the above mentioned acts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cracking album from a Cracking live band!, 18 Oct. 2010

If you love a bit of AC/DC (Bon Scott era), Guns n Roses, Skid Row brought to a modern sound this is the album for you. Originally released around 3 years ago and dogged by the collapse of the distribution company, it gets a well deserved remastering and re-releasing here. In a live setting this band are brilliant and that sound is captured on this cd, personal favourites are Tattoos & Dirty Girls, The Last Icon and International Anthem, but there isn't a single bad song on this album. This band deserve to be HUGE! Buy it play it love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock N Roll - Hell Yeah, 4 Nov. 2010

If like me you like a bit of rough n ready rock n roll then this album is for you. Crafted along the lines of Bon Scott era AC/DC and following the formula that has allowed bands such as Airbourne to sucessfully ontroduce this kind of no frills rock into a new millenium Irelands Million Dollar Reload have raced out of the blocks with a storming debut. While this kind of rock may not inform us about the state of the world address or be technically diverse it is FUN!! This album is a definite purchase for anyone who loves their rock hard and fast plus it even has a ballad. So crack open a beer and rock hard!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good debut, 9 Feb. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Love this cd. Bought it on the strength of a recommendation from a popular rock music mag. From the very first track"Superstar" right to the last track "International Antherm" there is not a lame track among them. It does slow down on a couple of tracks , and MY GOD more than once i actually believed it was the late Bon scott singing , his voice was really so so similar. Would love to hear him sing some old AC/DC material it would be fun to hear. This cd is well worth a listen , because i feel these boys will go far.

There's a very talented band in there and I'm sure down the line they'll produce a very fine album, but for now enjoy this solid debut.
