There are better examples of this kind of music around

First things first, 'How you remind me' is a well written song. Intensely catchy, and deservedly an international hit. The rest of the album is slightly above average at best. Though Nickelback are frequently being categorised as 'post grunge', they equally have sounds in common with the blues based rock being made in the late 80s. No bad thing in itself, but there are better albums from that period. Also currently bands like Puddle of Mudd, and Britain's own Bush do the 'post grunge' thing a lot better. But because of the chart hit, Nickelback are outselling all their current peers. So if you're not too familiar with the rock scene, present or past, try and check out some other bands before Nickelback. And if you've bought this album, don't think this is all 'rock' has to offer. As it certainly isn't.
