I ordered this item for my Canon EOS 450D and it promptly arrived just 2 days after ordering. To be honest I didn't expect much for the price, but I thought I would take the risk rather than pay £15+ for an official product.
I'm glad I did. This is a great piece of kit. Well made, light, easy to use, and for the price you can't really argue. Works as I had hoped - press half way and the camera focuses, press fully and the camera takes the picture. Highly recommended for the casual/semi-pro photographer with a camera that this will fit.

I brought this for my Canon 450D and it works perfectly. Its simply a remote wired to the camera. Doesn't require any batteries. Highly recommended for low light photography!

I was unsure how good this would be given its low price compared to other more pricey versions.

It arrived just two days after I ordered it and having tried it out I am impressed. You can focus by just pressing the button halfway and the button feels nice and firm.

I bought it for a Pentax K100D.

At this price I wasn't really expecting too much. But I was really surprised, nicely made, great quality and works without batteries. I even accidently dropped it in a river while taking a photograph and it continues to work perfectly!

Just received it and it is just what I wanted. As others have said, it has the half-press capability which causes focus and exposure lock without taking the picture. Press all the way down for the final picture. This remote switch enables you to use a tripod and slow shutter speeds without touching the camera. Also useful for close macro work - such as transferring 35mm Transparencies (slides) to digital without all that messing about with scanners or paying someone (together with MACRO EXTENSION Full Set TUBES Fits CANON EOS SLR & DSLR,1Ds 5D 30D 40D,50D,450D 400D,350D to enable macro capability from any lens). Once you have everything set up, you don't want it to move!

I bought one of these to fit a sony a 200,it has every thing you need plus it's so east to use,i highly recomend it.Would imagine it would be easy to use if you are wearing gloves(not that i've tried it yet)and it's cheap what more can you ask!!

Great piece of kit for the price - it does exactly what it is meant to do and that is to take photos. Lead is slightly short - but again that is the size quoted, so that was my fault. Works well with both my Canon 350d * Canon 400d. Hghly recommended!!

I purchased this remote and it worked fine for all of a day! Then the next day it would focus (sometimes) but would then fail to control the shutter. I bought this because of the cheap price and its simplicity, I now see why it was so cheap.

The switch worked for a day and then stopped working , I sent it back and this one did the same . I will be paying more and getting canon own switch at least I can rely on that one !
