The headphones are nothing special. I bought this pack for the Koss EQ50 portable equaliser, which is unique in its function as a low cost, battery-powered device that can remove low frequency noise and boost the mid-range frequencies where all the consonants live. This is useful for people with high-frequency hearing loss, and anybody who has trouble understand old or poor quality soundtracks, or live radio and TV. Battery life is very good. One slight drawback is that if you turn up the volume on the EQ50 you start getting some audible hiss. The way to avoid this is to turn up the volume of the incoming signal as far as possible, so as to keep the volume setting on the EQ50 on a low level. This is not an audiophile device and it can suffer occasional transient interference. But in the contexts I have mentioned that's hardly an issue.
