Invicta 8926 Automatic Watch,

This review is from: Invicta Pro Diver Men's Automatic Watch with Black Dial Analogue display on Silver Stainless Steel Bracelet 8926 (Watch)
I bought this watch to replace an identical model which I purchased whilst on holiday in the USA.
You really are getting alot of watch for your money, the automatic movement although Japan Myota and not Swiss is superb and keeps time very well, you never need to worry about changing batteries and I like the fact that you can see the mechanism through the back of the watch. The solid surgical stainless steel body and bracelet are very well made, overall it looks and feels like a lot more expensive watch, it is very similar to the Rolex Submariner. A number of online reviews comparing the two watches, remark at how well the Invicta is made and even that the bracelet is better quality than the Rolex!! Obviously there can be no substitute for a Rolex, but if you are in the market for a goood quality reliable watch that you can wear every day and not worry that you are wearing a small fortune on your wrist, then the Invicta 8926 is a no brainer. Superb quality and value for money, well done Amazon for bringing it to the UK market at such a competitive price. Excellent service and delivery time from Amazon again.

What a pity Amazon and their traders cause so much ill will amongst customers by wrongly describing their products leading to unnecessary returns. Dimensions of case stated on current ad to be 43 mm x 7 mm. Actual is 40 mm excluding crown
x 13 mm. (Remember because of the bezel the dial is only 30 mm). Weight twice stated to be 5 grams. That is the weight of a couple of links! Actual weight 155 grams. Some people prefer the coin edge bezel. If you want to be sure the bezel setting is not changed accidentally I suspect this scalloped bezel to be superior. Quite stiff but then you do not want it to get changed inadvertently. All Invicta watches at the sub £100 price range seem now to come with the Seiko NH35A hacking movement which can be synchronised to the second. Nothing much to say about this movement except it must have the Swiss worried. Overall finish including alignment of the Cyclops window is excellent. No clue on the one I received where assembled. The latest ones state they are from Malaysia. This one may also be from there. The warranty detailed on Amazon is pretty comprehensive but of course excludes accidental damage. Postage now appears to be free in Europe. Not a lot more to say. Mine appears to gain very slightly when not worn but normally wearing a watch slows it by about 20 seconds a day due to the effects of gravity so factory settings tend to be slightly fast.

Invicta Prodiver 8926 Mens Automatic Watch,
This review is from: Invicta Pro Diver Men's Automatic Watch with Black Dial Analogue display on Silver Stainless Steel Bracelet 8926 (Watch)
I read many positive reviews on this Invicta watch on amazon, and on many other internet sites prior to making the purchase decision.
I have several quartz watches and have recently hankered after a nice automatic to put in the "collection". I was attracted to the Prodiver on price and its classic diver appearance. I did not want to spend more than £100 so the Invicta fitted the bill perfectly. Its Citizen/Miyota movement dispelled any fears over quality in my mind....This watch appears to cost much more in the UK than elsewhere? The item was initially out of stock on Amazon UK, and as soon as it appeared in stock again, I ordered the watch and it arrived a few days later. It was immediately very impressed with its appearance, and apparent quality construction. However mindful of removing links from the bracelet before making sure it worked properly, I wound it up manually as per Invicta instructions, and it worked fine............for two hours!!! I followed instructions again and it worked for 30 minutes..!!! I triggered off the self winding mechanism on many occassions to ensure it was not "operator error" causing the problem, but no, the watch was definately defective. VERY GOOD Amazon service ensured a replacement arrived quickly and the faulty unit was collected by DHL couriers. Unfortunately, the replacement was again faulty and would only run erratically and unreliably, maybe for two hours maximum. At this stage, I am just wondering if I was unlucky and that Amazon had been supplied with a "faulty batch" of watches by Invicta. The watch is out of stock at Amazon again now, probably withdrawn until quality issues are solved? At this stage I am still tempted to try another when they appear on Amazon, as the nearest competitor in price is a Seiko Orange Monster priced at £166 which is more than I want to spend on a watch for occasional wear. As a Post Script to the above, on the basis of "third time lucky", I decided to give the Prodiver one more chance when new stock appeared on Amazon a couple of weeks ago, this time price was £83 instead of £96 so fingers crossed!! Watch arrived ticking away happily and has been fine ever since, gaining something close to 10 seconds in 24 hours, which is fine for a reasonably priced Japanese automatic movement! Bracelet cost £5 for a local jeweller to modify, and the watch looks easily the equal of high priced alternatives in the window of Goldsmiths and similar stores. VERY GOOD quality finish and chunky construction allied to nice "proper watch" movement!! For watch anoraks, a must have at £83!!

Invicta Prodiver watch,

Very pleased overall with the product. One snag though. It gains about 5 minutes a week which is something I don't want to be checking. When I told Amazon about the problem and how much it will cost to re-calibrate the watch they immediately e mailed me to say that they would cover this cost. Well done Amazon. No fuss, no quibbles. Thank you. Don McCorkindale.

Just great,
This review is from: Invicta Pro Diver Men's Automatic Watch with Black Dial Analogue display on Silver Stainless Steel Bracelet 8926 (Watch)
Bought this for ease in reading the time without my reading specs on and was very pleased, however as a bonus no end of people have mistaken it as a Rolex Submariner which is really pleasing as it cost a fraction of the price.

If like me you are in the market for a decent quality stainless steel bracelet watch from Citizen or Seiko then look no further than the Invicta. I came across this watch when I was browsing Amazon for Seiko and Citizen watches. It looked good on the website, had a good spec and was well priced. I decided to take a punt. I am glad I did. It looks every bit as good as anything from Seiko or Citizen if not better. It is meant to look a bit like a Rolex Submariner and for approximately £100 it is the only time I am ever going to own a watch that comes close to a Rolex. I would recommend this watch to either a collector or someone who is in the market for a good quality automatic watch that won't cost them several thousand pounds. Go on take a punt. I did and was happy with the outcome.

Good quality watch with a nice feel. Upodated mechanism now so the second hand stops when you adjust the time. The date fills the cyclops.
The strap feels solid. It required adjustment for my hand and it was easy to remove a few links. So far so good. I purchased on the daily deals and got it for around £60 so really good value.

Avoid. I had it for well over a year and it broke down during the usual wind up (need to do it sometimes when the watch was lying idle). Sure it looks good with solid build etc., but manual winding saw the whole automatic mechanism literally coming off and there is no way it can be fixed; besides you probably would pay more than your actual price was. No wonder their warranty is 30 days... Very disappointed as I bought it for every day use/traveling after reading good reviews. BTW they also do run ahead on average 3 minutes per week...
