Faith needs a life change. She had thought her life was going pretty good. After college, she had found a teaching job back in her home town of Duluth. She had a great boyfriend, whom she had been dating for two years.

Then, everything fell apart. The boyfriend gave her the "it's not you speech" and Faith soon realizes that he's been seeing her best friend behind her back. It gets worse when the two decide to get engaged, so much for him not being the marrying type.

Faith decides that a change is definitely in order so she makes the move to Minneapolis. However, her new life isn't quite what she expected. She can't seem to find a job. Her needy roommate has a side job as a sex phone operator. Faith might also have a stalker.

Following My Toes connects the reader to the feeling of chatting with a close friend. You are with her through the laughs and through those hard parts. You get that she'd be so much better off if she just stopped trying not to make mistakes and just followed her heart. You also know that she's going to have to do everything the hard way.

When Faith's boyfriend leaves her for her best friend, she decides she needs to take drastic action with her life. So she moves to a new city and starts a new job that ends in a journey of self-discovery.

Following my Toes has got a mixture of everything in it - women's fiction, mystery, romance, but above all it's about learning to forgive and get on with our lives following a break-up.

An all-round great read that will keep you wanting more!

4.0 out of 5 stars Light, witty enjoyable read, 30 April 2011
This review is from: Following My Toes (Kindle Edition)
Enjoyable read. I liked Lynn Osterkamp's light, witty style of writing. The charaters were interesting and the story line kept me engrossed. I thought the subtle use of 'psychic ability' was well grounded and added to the story rather than swamped it. The underlying mystery kept me guessing, and successfully remained light when it could so easily have had a darker edge. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a little mystery and a little romance wrapped up with natural humour.
